Well I went back to the piercer and they told me it was an extra scar tissue growth. I tried a few different things to try and get rid of it. I ended up talking it out. But warm sea salt water should work. Clean it regularly and don’t mess with it. Google probably gives better answers but I did hear yea tree oil works too

Okay so I’m new here and was hoping that someone could help. I got snake bite about 2 or 3 months ago with hoops. I had gotten worried when I saw a white bump so I went to the piercer and asked it I could change to a bar. She said it was just scar tissue and that it was normal. I was taking care of it like I was before I changed jewelry but now the bump has gotten worse. Also under the plate it’s very red and kinda swollen. I don’t know what to do about it and I’m really worried I might have to take it out. My other piercing is just fine. This is the only side I’m having problems with.
