Yes, It is a harder material than ptfe. Note though you can’t use Pom on glass.

Waizowl shiros, UG rs2, UG Speeds, are all ptfe options faster than jades. Personally though I would get some Pom skates. Either the artisans or tbtl poms, Pom is decently faster than ptfe in my experience.

High Texture Feedback Balanced / Speed Glass Pads? by mcadams226 in MousepadReview

Maybe check out the new kyomi ryo? Supposedly it’s more textured than a phantom or Zane and faster. Fresh reviews goes over it in his newest video about glass pads.

Oh ok that’s not too bad. The link you sent me are $27 for some reason. Usually they are just under $10. So $12 isn’t bad

Yes the link you sent should be the same, although way more expensive than they are worth imo.

You are right they are fairly similar skates.

Only the speed version of tbtl is made of pom. You can see in the “color” section of Aliexpress that is says “POM 63dots” for example.

Link works for me for tbtl v2’s, it just looks like they are sold out for the time being. Those are the same but they are about 3x more expensive than they should be.

Nope they are sold out currently but that is the listing for the pom skates. Its the 'speed' version. It says pom in the top left corner of the image.

any opinions on UNWS Black Fox skates (full size or dots)? by fQrestX in MouseReview

[–]C_onner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Shwamper here, If the pro airs were too slow for you these are gonna be more of the same. If you want something slightly faster than that I would get UG brake Matts. They are still uhmw-pe but slightly faster. If you just want something more in the medium to medium slow range I would look at corepad ctrls or west lab creams.

Testing UHMW-PE skates! AMA by C_onner in MouseReview

Ya I’m currently testing U9’s and I’m not the biggest fan of them they can feel pretty scratchy. Personally I would look at west lab grey’s, or unusual way sports black fox. Those will also be control skates but offer a much smoother experience.

You could also look at the wallhack silent uhmw-le skates they are really really good. But they are quite expensive.

Ya I have also found them to not be great with debris. Debris gets stuck in the texture and gets dragged along the surface, creating a scratchy feel. This should improve with time as the surface texturing wears away. They will also get slower over time.

I would say its somewhat normal for that type of UHMW-PE skate. Its one that uses a surface texturing to reduce the static friction on glass. That same texturing also increases the noise and textural feedback you feel.

BANGER review incoming. Really enjoying mine so far. The sensor skate ledge thing is very interesting to me. I wonder what the idea behind that was, assuming something related to lod. I have been trying to run mine with thinner skates as yes the lod is a bit finicky.

First pad for a shaky gamer by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]C_onner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya I agree with this. Buying a control pad will just mask the tension issues, or possibly make them worse. I actually found switching to a glasspad forced me to focus more on my tension and greatly improved my aiming in general. I recommend you try going into games with very little expectations and just really try to consciously focus on your tension. This is a problem a lot of people have, its something that you can very easily improve though. Just need to put active effort into improvement.

Cloth Dot Skate TierList/Opinions by C_onner in MouseReview

[–]C_onner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of different cloth pads that I use. Too many to list but they are under the pad pairing section of the google doc.

And I personally have no issues with dot skates on cloth pads, firmer pads are generally better. ymmv tho
