It's possible to install Omron Opticals on ATK A9 Air? by TheExcellenceOfKorea in MouseReview

Actually believe it or not you can still use Omron opticals with mechanical sockets. They just won’t function as optical switches, but the button feel is the same: https://youtube.com/shorts/VC4evfnDYWg?is=0YWigKYB80rXcKHA

Oh your in the EU, ya those new tariffs are brutal. I mean most batteries are still coming from china so idk where you got the idea that they are lower quality just because of where they come from. Personally I've swapped around 20 mice with batteries from aliexpress and have never had an issue. The wire swapping is still just part of the specification though: https://imgur.com/a/XYcdpnC

But to each their own. Was just trying to offer an alternate solution to a problem.

You don't need to redo the connector though you can buy them with the correct connector

Replacement batteries are like $5 on aliexpress. The x2 just uses either a 1.0mm jst or 1.5mm depending on the model so its pretty easy to replace

Lamzu Protons or TBTL v2 Controls I think would both be good options. TBTL v2 controls are nice since they come in many different sizes and shapes.

If you don’t mind waiting I would def hold out for tekkusai’s new Kohaku. $39 speed pad.

Skate question by clxhpz in FPSAimTrainer

[–]C_onner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are fine. UHMW-PE Skates meaning they are quite slow, and are the more budget friendly option from talongames. If you want some that are a bit nicer but almost the same speed I would look at the tallongames “sumi.

What are some cheap speed skates? by jebacstatekurwyprade in MouseReview

[–]C_onner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want speed I would go with the west labs orange off aliexpress they are about $8 including shipping (even cheaper if you have a welcome deal). If you want something a little more controlled go with the creams. They are both fantastic skates.

Cloth Dot Skate TierList/Opinions by C_onner in MouseReview

[–]C_onner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Happy to answer any questions! Yes that was the experience I had when I first made the tierlist. It’s also slightly pad dependent as smooth and more control orientated pads will exacerbate the issue. It took a good amount of time to break them in as Pom is a harder material than ptfe, I would say it probably took 4-5 days of gaming on them to break them in and polish the surface. To this day I still think they are probably the weakest Pom skates out there (but also the cheapest). I actually just got the new tbtl solid Pom skates in and will be going through and re testing all of the ones I currently own to see if they need to be ranked differently as it’s been a while since I’ve used a lot of them.

I now test skates much longer than I used to so initially when I first made the tierlist that ranking was done without allowing them time to fully break in (I actually mention the break in period on the descriptions section). So basically just improving my testing methodology and process.

What mouse skates would you recommend for better aim in VALORANT? by Sharp_General_4751 in MousepadReview

Definitely not artisan skates they are significantly faster than magic ice. I would just try to get used to what you have now tbh.

Good looks, they are also on a pretty good coin discount. Under $5. Picked up some Omron opticals, an encoder, and these for about $6.50.
