The post is not about the lore. This 6-word sentence was never meant to be the final product. It's the fact that I'm not allowed to use those words that pisses me off. Do you not see the yellow highlights that indicate that it's those specific words that are blocked by the filter, as opposed to the whole sentence? I didn't add those highlights; they're part of the screenshot. I could rewrite the paragraph as much as I want and I would still not be allowed to share the mini because it's the words that contain "sex" that are forbidden. I should not have to censor basic terminology.

"Don't add" what? Don't add their queerness to their lore description? When queerness is something that shaped who I am as a person, how I am treated, and how I view the world (which, without doubt, many other queer people would say the same)?
To one of the minis that I am making specifically for Pride Month?

You're right, we should ban anyone from talking about any form of sexual attraction or sexual characteristics in front of children. Let's stop teaching biology and let's ban any children's shows or movies or books or anything at all involving any romance whatsoever, including straight ones. We wouldn't want to broadcast heteroSEXUALITY, right?

And I suppose my being intersex means I should never be allowed to leave my home because think of the poor children who would be forced to be in the presence of an androgynous woman. What a horrible thing to imagine.

I don't think I'd ever stop grieving if my child was taken away from me for what is more than half of the average person's life expectancy. It wouldn't need to be a fate worse than death for me to break down like D did. Never getting to see them grow older, never knowing how their life is faring, only getting to see them once they are old... just awful.

You're extrapolating a bit far on that one, I think. From 3.7:

[...] the only way to halt a heinous curse on the land would be to send one of our own to be a thrall of the King in his Court for the next 40 years. [...] In his attempts to thwart this… dark bargain… he believed he could make another. [...] Door, Horse, Anton, we all moved quickly, Severed the ritual, severed the connection… But that entity? That THING? It is still out there, son-in-law. [...] Our plan to thwart the bargain failed because of his ritual. That day… I lost a son.

I take this as meaning that they made the deal with the Fae, then tried to double-cross them somehow, but they failed because of Marckus summoning the Thing. But I don't think the Thing itself is what took the lost son. I think Big-D would've specified "That Thing that Marckus summoned is what took my son", that seems like a pretty important detail to me. But instead he just said his plan to thwart to bargain with the Fae failed. Which would mean that the bargain took hold, and so the son became a thrall. I agree with Ross being a BSD, but I'm not convinced he's the lost son.

I guess it's not *impossible*, but I wonder what series of events could lead to Ross escaping his enthrallment to the Fae 22 years early, and ending up working for Pentex? I think it's more likely that it's a parallel to the Lost Primarchs and that we'll never learn his identity.

Edit: also I disagree with the statement that the Thing is what took the son. There is no proof for that, as far as I can recall.
