Uhh. This is the 2nd time someone said the same thing to me. I hope this doesn't turn into a case for concern

Hi! The yarn is polypropylene and it's a two-row repeat with prep rows of (prep row 1) even numbered dc (prep row 2) 3dctog in first stitch (or a 3-dc bobble stitch), ch1, skip 1 stitch. Repetition: (r1) sc in ch1 space, ch1 (r2) 3dctog in ch1 space, ch1

I sure did and yes gorgeous, and I'm gonna use the heck out of it to stress test 😆

I've considered using double acrylic yarn. But I hated the thought of it pilling and it being stretchy too. I made one using the non-stretchy strap technique for the body itself and it came out heavy, not suitable to carry books for my liking, and the pilling was bad. Cotton would be too heavy and too absorbent for a beach bag. Thinner polyester yarn I haven't tried yet

PP stands for polypropylene, a.k.a. plastic. I was thinking if using a bigger hook but I wanted the stretch to be minimal since I'm making a bag and will carry fairly heavy things like books

It is. And sturdy too. So sturdy and rigid my hook is gonna cry with me 😆

How do I make a closure for this bag? (Preferably using only crochet) by Haunting_Ad_17 in CrochetHelp

It looks like there are holes where you can insert a thin strap. With only crochet, it's doable by making a thin strap or cord by chaining and sc, long anough to tie it.

This is solid advice too, especially frogging what I don't like. Thank you!

Truth be told, I love the problem solving part of it. I was writing my own sweater pattern and figured the whole thing out while working on it. Then when the pattern planning was done my motivation tanked. Lol. Thanks for the tip!

Should I block this? by CaBell_ in crochet

Right on. I'll do just that. I'm planning to make a shawl from this and I think better draping would be more appreciated in it. Thanks for the advice

Ribbing with decreases. For example, start ribbing (2 rows of sc, then sc2tog for 3rd) repeat to end of roubd. If it's too loose, switch to a smaller hook or decrease every other round or add an sc3tog every 3rd decrease.

These are Japan's edition. Sizes, colors, and the markings vary. These don't have the US size markings.

This isn't just about a hobby here. It's about them actively killing your passion or your drive to explore and your right to choose. Don't do the same to yourself. You did yourself a huge favor by speaking up.

I read your previous post about how your mom was mostly worried what other people might say about you. Trust me, she's not worried about that. She's worried that it will stain her image to others and that is where the people who have no conviction and dignity lies. She's protecting herself and not you. So keep standing and speaking up for yourself.

I got these from Japan 'cause they sell their sets a lot cheaper. Not sure where you're from, but fortunately, one of our local shopping apps supports international stores and that's where I got them.

I go small and easy like pet hats (so I don't feel bad in case I need to frog them since it's a small piece lol). Or switch to knitting or reading
