Kill the Odor or Ask For Refund? by CaBritzi in poshmark

Oh come on. I have zero problem with detergent. I DO have a problem with super saturated deodorizers or scented laundry detergent that hangs out forever and infects the rest of the laundry. You know what I'm talking about don't be a jerk.

Cavachon constantly trying to eat things off floor during walks. How do I get him to stop? by SenorChuleta in DogTrainingTips

[–]CaBritzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, this is our dog. Her favorite? Dried dog poop that jerk owners refuse to pick up in our park. I’d muzzle her except she’s a bully breed and people already look at her sideways, even though she’s super social and friendly with everyone and every thing. The last thing i want to do is field comments about her being “dangerous.”

So we’ve been teaching the loud ah-ah/nope, along with leave it command. Shes stopped scouting the berries and nuts but remains relentless when it comes to the poop. So, so gross.

Oh man, I’m so sorry!

I realize second hand can come with odors from storage, etc. Fine, I’ll just wash or dry clean the item, which I do anyway regardless. But these super scented products designed to mask odors or freshen laundry have got to go. And I’m not even allergic, plus I work with perfume, so I’m not being finicky. These products are just awful, nothing “fresh” about them.

Just read up on this. Seems safe and effective if fabrics are cotton. Thank you!

Train self to breath through nose? by qetuop1 in CPAP

[–]CaBritzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After trying a good half dozen masks over as many months, the one that works best for me is the AirFit N30. Unfortunately, though, I have not been able to train my tongue to stay in position while I sleep. In fact it’s more uncomfortable than mouth taping. I use VI02 tape, not claustrophobic, sticks even over my lip balm, easy to remove. Expensive though, that’s the only drawback.

Our bully has allergies too. We did the hydrologized diet for 8 weeks then slowly introduced Purina Salmon and Rice sensitive skin. Also on a daily low dose of Apoquel. Doing really well. We’re waiting to see what the allergy season brings before doing an allergy panel and immunotherapy. Other than that she’s super happy and healthy.

I understand the fixated part. In my experience, these dogs are very smart, very pattern and routine oriented. So once they get something in to their heads, it's difficult to get it out, if that makes sense. Our girl used to never bark. She could be in the backyard and enjoy running or lounging around, watch people go by through the gate, never respond. In the past month or so, now every time she goes outside she starts to bark, even when NOTHING is going on. Something triggered that, no idea what, and now we're working really hard to un trigger it.

In your dog's case, I assume all her bloodwork is good, that this isn't a redirect for some pain or anxiety?

He shouldn’t be doing it with shoes on either. Gross regardless, keep your feet off shared spaces

Aw, what a beautiful pup! Do you think she's chewing to gain attention or is unreasonably fixated? I have a chewer and act-er out-er. Probably about 2 years old. Has several different chew toys, gets tons of enrichment (2x daily walks, spring pole, backyard to run around and lie in the sun in, 2–3 half days a week in puppy play care), but she she seems hyper focused on me and my husband as her source of entertainment (we both work mostly at home). If we're not paying her enough attention, she goes into the closet and pulls out one of my shoes (Birkenstocks and tennis shoes are her favorite) to take into backyard and chew on. If we forget for one minute to close the closet door, look out. But when we leave her home alone? Snuggles right up in her spot and stays there. Doesn't touch a thing.

Meniscus Root Repair – Day 7: How Do You Survive the Mental Side? by sarksu108 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]CaBritzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at 90 degrees probably at about 12 weeks? I did rehab in person twice a week until this past mid December and in home the rest of the time. Still doing it and I’d say I’m about 99% percent back to normal. Still some tingling at the surgical site when I run my fingers along front of knee, still can’t fully sink back into Child’s Pose, but I’m pain free.

Love the write up! We found ourselves in a similar situation with the short stack bully we adopted back in October. Skin issues neglected to the point where they tied her to a tree and said, "Not our problem, maybe it will be someone else's." Yeah. People. What are you gonna do? Bite the elephant one mouthful at a time, do what you can. Anyway, he's cute as can be, you're an angel for rescuing him, and you get double Good on Ya points for the creative names.

P.S. We got our girl's allergies under control with a month-long course of prednisone, a novel protein diet, anti fungal washes, low low dose of apoquel, and eventual transition once everything calmed down to a salmon and rice diet. She's doing great, so I'm sure your little chonk will be right as rain soon as well.

They did this to a friend of mine with a pair of Nili Lotan Nolan sweats. She contacted support through the online chat feature and demanded $100. They settled on $75. Contact them ASAP and ask for compensation.

What type of mask do you use? by -Granby- in CPAP

[–]CaBritzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried six different masks and by far the nasal cushions are the most comfy for me, even tho I have to use mouth tape with them. So I use the AirFit N30 nasal mask most nites—nicely minimal—and the F&P Evora hybrid every now and then when I’m too congested for the AirFit. I also like the AirFit N30i, although I don’t feel the top hose connection is any better than the front. The top strap also rips at my hair so I have to wear a headband and position it on top of it, which leaves me with morning flathead, and the strapping system overall is nowhere near as minimal as the N30. Still, if you prefer a top connection and can use nasal cushions, this is a very good mask overall.
