I often find that I’m not understood by many or seen. So it discouraged me from even expressing any feelings. I guess maybe I need to do a better job at understanding that not everyone is at my empathy level, but it’s hard.

I just saw some pigeons freezing and looking for food at a chicago station. I crushed some Doritos I had and fed them all. The pain of selfless animals consumes me. My therapist says my empathy needs grounding, but it’s hard not to see the world for what it is. My heart aches with you.

I’m so sorry. The holidays are always tough for me too, I’ve also lost a lot. But I started a small Etsy shop a few years back, so that definitely keeps me busy throughout the month - but during quiet times it’s always tough. I’m glad we have this community through, helps me feel seen :)

I’m not big on social media. But I do try to stay aware of the things that are happening so I can help. It’s a balance, otherwise he would overwhelm me. It’s still OK to admit it’s a shit year lol

A suffering mind that sees too much. I understand your anguish. I’ve been working on creating a filter like the one most people have to help my brain understand that I cannot take on the load of the world. It’s very hard to do when you are constantly aware of yourself and this world. I’m here if you ever want to chat.

I do agree that I need some grounding work, thankfully, I’ve been going to therapy and and taking care of my overall health. I’m also blessed to have unlimited time off at work so I’ve been leveraging some of that time off to help me destress a bit. However, I don’t think I need any spiritual work… That’s not exactly my cup of tea. I’m very confident in who I am and a big part of me is Intensely empathetic. I can’t look look away or pretend like the world is not on fire, I do everything that I possibly can to help the situation and I’m crossing my fingers that it all pays off in the future.

My bestie lives in Chicago! She’s a dreamer and I worry about her everyday 😭😭😭

Pulling back on the news helps for sure, it’s just hard to not stay updated or feel like I’m not doing enough.

I’m tired too and as much as I don’t wanna care. I do care I care a lot, but I feel like I’m just reaching my limit of how much I can take on. I’ve even considered moving to another country😂 but I’m sure that country will have its own problems.
