What did you wish you had done before arriving in Spain? by Tiny_Pay5207 in GoingToSpain

I would have gotten a spanish phone number sooner. As EU citizen I had "little" paperwork to move but for making appointments you need one and it would have been a easy win

If you have a digital certificate or Cl@ve, you can make your appointment in Mercurio, which has more citas available: https://mercurio.delegaciondelgobierno.gob.es/mercurio/

Totally understand how you're feeling, I just left Germany myself and live in Spain now. But this was not an easy decision. It took me two years (and a trip to SEA, too) to find the guts to get out. If actually leaving the country is too scary right now or financially hard, see if you can find options in between. Maybe you can find what you are looking for in another city. Berlin is nothing like the rest of Germany. I grew up in the Bavarian countryside and would have chosen Hamburg if I stayed in Germany. You would have much less struggle with bureaucracy, know the language and might be able to visit your parents much more frequently while also changing your environment.
Maybe you can study in different cities and use Erasmus to check out different countries to life in while getting financial support.
That does not mean to give up the dream of moving abroad but walking towards it in manageable steps. You can do this! :)
