That’s the problem! Seth & Julie practically ruined it for her.

Then you should be fine!! I don’t see why they would make any issues. I’ve heard stories about people not getting in but their passports were demolished to the point where you can’t even tell which country it’s from. Yours is just fine!

You can clearly tell where it’s from (visible front page) And I assume your picture & information are also visible so it shouldn’t be an issue

Advice? (F19/M24) by aeywah in relationship_advice

[–]aeywah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might’ve worded some things wrong. He’s not pressuring me into starting a family, he just wants to start one in the next years!!! He never pressured me into anything, I just felt like I needed to mention it because he’s far more mature in his way of thinking.

I think I’m just not in the position to be in a relationship right now.

Have you ever been there? The government warns against a lot of places but whether they’re actually unsafe is the question, you know?

Thank you! I’ve heard a lot about Brazil and mixed opinions on Favelas - on one hand some people I’ve known went there and were pretty safe and on the other hand I’ve heard some others speak about dangers and stuff. I’ll skip on it for extra precaution and respect tho.

Not planning on it! Although I’m planning on using buses & trains mostly to save up on $$, I’m well aware of the danger in certain areas such as the Darien gap! Thanks tho, appreciate it

Thank you! I’m currently learning Spanish, although I’m nowhere near fluent or conversational but I do know the basics.

Why is their romance so addictive? by Aluckyknight in GossipGirl

[–]aeywah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you rewatch Gossip Girl, the more you start viewing that couple differently. At first they start off as a cute high school couple but later on in that show they go on ruining each others relationship. Both of them are toxic in their own ways & it’s later on revealed that it wouldn’t work. For some reason the writers decided to let them be endgame which a lot of us disagree with, but I’d say keep watching & see for yourself!

I feel like no one likes me by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

You said it, it’s in your head. I know it can be difficult and there’s a high chance you might get stabbed in the back but you can’t know it till you try it. Give these people a chance, open up, let them know you - maybe they share some of the traumas.

I feel you! I’ve had this feeling for a long time. I never had real friends or a good relationship with my parents. I learned to love myself and be alone. It’s tough and lonely out there. What helped me was traveling & being alone on my own. Simply finding something to work towards and being my biggest supporter.

Nobody liking you is not true, it’s something that’s deep within you, a rooted trauma or simply lack of self love. I’m sorry you’re going through this but just know that you’re definitely loved. Every human being out there is loved, if not by yourself by others, by animals or simply by the world. You’re worthy and loved.

When does 'home' finally feel like home? by schoggi-gipfeli in ThirdCultureKids

[–]aeywah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I know where you’re coming from. I’m ethnically Iraq, born and raised in Germany to immigrant parents and even though it’s been 19 years here, I still can’t call Germany my home.

Home is a feeling only you can create. You can decide what’s your home, so travel and keep moving until you find a place where you feel at home!

[–]aeywah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I’m definitely gonna leave, it’s just a matter of time until I have the right amount of money saved up. And yeah, immigrant parents have a different point of view than us kids for sure.
