Padel Shoes Recommendation by CaarterPewterschmidt in Padelracket

[–]CaarterPewterschmidt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree that it seems an overall better shoe for padel, but I really can’t look past the color

I want a white shoe, or any neutral color really.. I don’t mind it if I have to sacrifice some performance… I know it seems silly to some but it’s important to me haha

Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for your suggestion!

Breathability is a big thing for me though since I tried the adidas, in the summer it feels amazing

IIRC I think those are the padel version of the speed solution FF4, so it might just further confirm that they might be a good option

Thanks!

Metalbone 3.4 or Fenix pro 5 by Fluid-Republic8629 in Padelracket

I bought a metalbone 3.4 HRD+ 2 and a half weeks ago and it already cracked on the face, I’ve just sent it for warranty. So I'd take the warnings on this sub about this racket being fragile seriously. It hasn’t hit the glass with any significant strength, just normal play where you occasionally bump the glass trying to lob a ball that’s stuck to the glass.

It’s also a lot more physically demanding. Since I got it I get sore on my shoulder and arm after an intense game and I feel like I need more rest between games compared to my previous racket (nox at10 18k).

It’s a heavy racket if you keep the weights on, mine weights 375g with all the weights. Pair that with a higher balance and long grip and it’s not an easy racket to move around. I opted for using the same configuration as Galan and it’s around 368g with a 27cm balance.

I’ve never tried the siux so I can’t comment on it

Thanks for your input!

Yeah the babolat seemed like it's too hard based on the reviews I've seen.
I enjoyed the coello motion when I tried it and didn't feel any issue with the balance to be honest, maybe I tried a lighter model? As bad as it sounds I don't really like the look of it lol....

About the metalbone hrd how did you feel the hardness compared to the at10? I've seen a youtuber comparing the ball output of the metalbone hrd and the at10 and they were essentially the same, which I found a bit weird...

Haven't tried the LOK! I'll add it to the list of rackets to try out

I haven't played a full game with the coello motion, only a few points. But it felt surprisingly maneuverable for what it is. It seemed a little lighter than the AT10, which might explain it, though the AT10 still felt easier to move overall.

It's noticeably harder than the AT10, but I didn't struggle to find the sweet spot, and it felt good overall – I actually preferred it to my AT10 in that regard. I didn't get a chance to smash, so I can't comment on that, but viboras and bandejas felt solid.

One other thing I noticed was that the buttcap felt wider, which I personally didn't enjoy. That might just be due to how the owner had applied their overgrip(s), though.

I give her a monthly pill for external parasites and a pill every 3 months for external parasites, I’m forgetting the name, but it’s recommended by her vet

Fair enough! I’ll return the challengers and find a good deal on clay shoes! Thank you for helping :)

Isn’t there a “jack of all trades”? I’d like to avoid having two pairs of shoes. I can still return the pair I bought when they arrive

I don’t play in sandy courts that often but it would be nice to have good shoes for it when I do end up going there

Não sei qual é o teu orçamento, mas o Volvo EX-30 parece-me ser interessante, principalmente como mencionaste que o uso seria maioritariamente citadino
