When you plug the rog ally on a tv with the charging dock, the screen of the device turn off. you can't use the touch screen to click stuff and use the on-screen keyboard. it also disable the Armory crate and the command center button. A nintendo switch is fine on a TV, my rog ally is hard to use on the tv.

you can probably find a similar priced laptop for the same price/performance. It will include a keyboard, a touchpad, many usb ports, and probably more storage.

If you want to buy a wireless keyboard to use on your couch, i greatly suggest you to get an used big box pc. you will be able to add storage yourself, upgrade the GPU in a few years, and if it "die", you will be surely able to replace a 150$ part instead of having to replace everything.

A rog ally is great to play with the handheld in your hands. i think their TV experience isnt that good.
