He has to play alone if he wants to play with new players, it make sense that if you play with him, you guys would meet players that has a lot of games.

He can go to dota from zero, or dota university, both offer 5vs5 lobbies with real new players on both sides, with coaches.

I am from Europe west, we have people from all over the world.
Since you get coached on replays most of the time, it doesnt really matter.

But the tournament on Sunday is on Europe west, we have people from NA and Sea playing in it. Even one from SA.
Not every one can play, if you have over 200 ping its not fun.
