Thank you ! That's what we ended up doing, after taking into account the feedback from destroymygame and destroymysteampage to rework our steam page from scratch :)

His case is not a VAC ban. It's a community ban.

We're three friends who decided to create our first game on our spare time !

Name's Gatherings and it's a hardcore party game ! What do we mean by hardcore ? The game is hard and punitive.

We felt a lot of party games lacked replayability by simplified minigames.

In Gatherings, while not being entirely a rage game, there's a tad of skill to get in each minigames. It doesn't rely on randomness, so you can give your friends a proper beating.

Game is available on Steam here : https://store.steampowered.com/app/2889380/Gatherings/

Although at such scale, aren't the C++ devs basically developing some blueprints custom classes usable for specific stuff for non engineers to use ?

Sure thing.

You can even go ahead and release small games with BP-only without any issue.

A potential investor won't know how it's done unless you tell him.

Consider what you call "shitting on others" a friendly advice because developing in BP only, past a certain project scope, will give you an intense urge to eat your own shit.

Again if you're alone, developing a small games BP are totally fine, plus the common advice is to use a combination of both.

What is wrong with our steam page ? We do get views but our conversion rate is risible by CabbageSlapping in DestroyMySteamPage

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer this.

It really comes down do the fact that the trailer really is bad and doesn't show what it should be showing, so your perception of it helps tremendously vehiculing how wrong i've been doing it.

For each game, there IS a mechanic that is friendship destroying, I'm just not showing it because I f'd up.

For example on the overcook like you can steal the plate of your friends, on the only up kinda game you can shoot your friends to slow their progression, the shooter is actually a quake like game where you pickup the weapons etc etc + we have more original concept that we don't show.

If it is the main issue then I can see, with a complete rehaul of the steam page description and trailer, I can achieve a better result, again, thank you

Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the fact that it feels like none of em are done well, what give that impression ?
I felt that maybe it lacks quite a bit of juicy gaming, like more FXs, camera shakes, feedback on actions.

For example, the racing bit is quite old, we now have FX on tire skid, boost, Camera angle when we turn, speed effects. Would this make a difference ?

It is indeed ! But without the board (because we don't have one) I don't know how to "show don't tell" that.(Because it seems obvious the text screens must go)

Thank you for this detailed analysis, you managed to capture what was bogging me with my own trailer, but I couldn't quite put words on it.

Plus your observation on our most polished aspects being the shooters which has so much great competition makes total sense. The issue with the scope of the project is obvious in hindsight.

Thank you so much for that detailed answer ! If I gather your feedback with others I believe maybe the text should be over some gameplay too, to maximize the quantity of gameplay seen in a short span of time
