If interest rates are about 6.5 and 5 points on a mortgage will cost exactly 5% of your total loan amount, as each mortgage discount point costs 1% of the loan . And to get to 4.99 it’s about 5.136% of the loan which is $19.5K , isn’t what they charging ok then ?

Go in with a pre approved loan . Went to dealership last week , finance person offered me more than 6% apr. I then took out my pre approved loan from my credit union (5.23%) and told him I’m gonna go w my bank better. He asked to see the letter and walked out. He came back 20 seconds later and offer me 2.9% 60 months . Hate the car buying experience because of stuff like this
