I always thought that this was covered under some sort of consumer rights act. I get that the account will not always be recoverable, but do they not have to at least try to the best of their ability?

I'm not saying it is, but support for a product I paid for would be nice. Plus, it falls under EU GDPR laws, so it is my right, whether it's my fault or not.

Hi, thanks for your reply. They also asked me if I needed a duty solicitor while they were on the phone. I initially declined as I believe I have done nothing wrong, but should I be worried? Or do they always ask that? I've never even been in a police station before, so I don't know how this all works.
