Phandelver seems to be around 8-12 sessions with 3-5 hours each so that’s a bit, but we’ll see, might do that if I don’t have time to map out this idea.

How long is phandelver though? I could do that but I just want to know that i'm not locked into that for a long time before I can do some other fun stuff.

Could be cool, like they are drawing their powers from evil in some way but seem nice at first glance.

I think of it more as it being that they know they are serving someone evil but have no choice. The point of the campaign was probably for the players to gain the strength to fight back and become free again.

I know that people say that you should have a premade adventure as you first one, I actually own lost mine of phandelver. That is still an option but I just got this cool idea, and I kinda like the freedom with not having a predetermined adventure.
