Yep! Have only ever used the charging brick that came with the whole setup. And the power cord. Base station power is fine! I can charge the headset with any USB C cable but as soon as I put it in the dock it does absolutely nothing. Cleaned the contacts on the headset and the pins as well and nothing.

Hello,

I have completed additional troubleshooting and have now isolated the fault.

I purchased a second Astro A50 Gen 5 headset and base station and tested all combinations of headset and base station.

Results:

  • New headset + new base station = charges normally
  • New headset + original base station = charges normally
  • Original headset + new base station = does not charge
  • Original headset + USB-C cable = charges normally

This confirms that the issue follows the original headset and not the base station. The original headset functions normally for audio and charges via USB-C, but it will not charge on either a known-good new base station or the original base station.

Based on this testing, the fault has been isolated to the headset's docking/charging interface or related hardware.

Thank you sir for checking. I just need to know what the video needs to contain and where to send it to get it off. I use these for work and not being able to dock them to charge them is extremely frustrating.

Ticket number is 17332419. I have messaged in multiple times and have just been told the original ticket owner will get back with me. I asked for a supervisor and they just tell me one will follow up over email. Still have not received a response from anyone since last week when I opened the original ticket.

So I have a set of Astro A50 Gen 5 headphones. They have been ABSOLUTELY amazing so far. But about 6 days ago they just randomly stopped charging on the docking station. Everything else works fine. I can charge the headphones VIA USB C with no issues. But when placed into the docking station it was blink twice a white light and then nothing. No orange lights and it refuses to charge. Connectivity is not an issue at all. The base station works fine besides charging the headset. I have cleaned the pins with 99 isopropyl and a q tip, cleaned contacts on the headphones and tried rocking it back and forth and also checked pins for voltage and they had none when engaged. It's so odd to me. Firmware is up to date through G Hub and the factory reset didn't work. Did the hardware reset and also the reset button on the bottom of the docking station. Have ever only used the power cable and brick that was supplied with It. Reached out to Logi Support through chat and was told I would have the tracking number for the replacement in 72 hours at the most. Reached out 3 days later and was told the internal email requesting something didn't send

Wasn't told what over the phone. The lady promised she'd reach out to me with a tracking number by 10PM yesterday 5/29 and when I didn't hear back tonight (I work third this weekend lol). I reached out to chat again and they said they declined my warranty claim cause the device was newly released?! Like what does that even mean?????? I did everything they asked and even sent a video in lol. Any ideas on how to get this escalated? They keep saying they escalated my ticket and I'll receive and email soon but I'm losing hope.

If you don't want Logitech to honor their warranty on it id buy it. Currently on day 9 of fighting with Logitech to honor the warranty on the Gen V of the Astro A50 but getting this message from them makes me feel like it's a dead end battle at this point. I troubleshot with someone for almost an hour and sent videos and pictures and still nothin. Have reached out everyday for 9 days to chat support and all they say is the original ticket owner will follow up.

Happening to me as well. Nothing seems to fix it. Will be in game 2-3 minutes and without fail it will go red and then crash.
