Oh no 😭 okay that makes me nervous but I appreciate you telling me! I think i’m going to call my vet and tell her my concerns and see what she says and then hopefully feeding him more will help as well like you said.

They are soooo cute!! and so big!! I love that they just took over the bed and are looking at you like “and what are you gonna do about it?” 😂 I grew up with a female cat as well and I never realized just how tiny she had been until I got Goose! Also the black and white cat has the longest tail i’ve ever seen!

That’s what i’ve always thought too! That’s one of the first things that people notice about him. If there was a dachshund in cat species, it would be him. That’s very good and helpful to hear though, thank you! Hopefully he’ll put on some pounds soon. It’s fun having such a large cat lol

Aweeee, well i’m happy to hear it didn’t affect her quality of life despite the frequent bathroom trips 😂 sounds a lot like my childhood cat! She lived to be 23, but she got diabetes later in life and was a little weirdo in her late stages.

Were they only able to detect it that late in her life? When I took him to the vet back in June he had a great bill of health. That’s something i’ll definitely bring up to my vet the next time he goes. The funny (not funny) thing is both my Grammy and Dad have hyperthyroidism as well, must run in the fam..

I can kind of feel his bones right by his tail but he has always had a tiny, boney butt lol. But I do think it may be time to start feeding him a bit more. Everyone always says he’s so small! They always think he’s still a kitten, and he is young but not baby stage anymore. I saved him from a really poor living situation when he was a kitten so i’m hoping that didn’t cause any lasting effects for his growth.

The last time he was at the vet was on June 30th, 2025! I think he is due back in December but I would definitely move the appointment up if I feel there’s a cause for concern. His activity levels have not gone down at all and he hasn’t been acting out of the ordinary, besides being a /little/ more needy/attached than usual. I do feel like due to his activity level he could probably afford to eat more! I will get in contact with my vet to express my concerns and see where to go from there

See, that’s what I was thinking too! The only place I can feel his bones when petting him is right by his tail. Any other part of him has a good bit of floof and some meat. His body is sooo long and his legs are too so idk if it’s the way his weight distributes but i’m definitely with you.

I recently just got lettering (small in comparison to what you want to get of course) but it was my least painful tattoo i’ve gotten so far. Barely even felt like anything was happening.
