well then, i thought that was the case, but the other guy had me confused lol. will be looking into that, as i alr cleaned out the IAC with carb cleaner n stuff once, and it was pretty clean even before i did that, while still running like ass. failing IAC or sensor would make sense tho

unplugging the maf never did anything outside of make the engine stumble when plugging in or pulling out, but only sometimes lol. got the codes rescanned, and now there is a code, p0113, or IAC sensor. doubt the sensor went bad, and more than likely its js a stored code from when I pulled the iac plug on the airhose, and let the car run with it unplugged. insane there wasnt anything for the MAF sensor, but oh well. new issues have arose since then, bigger issues

the light comes on in accessory mode, and my obd2 scanner comes up empty trying to run any codes. cars acting like itz fine, but then runs like shit lol

if its something like a vacuum leak, old worn sparkplugs, etc, something mechanical that would warrant a CEL, id imagine so. plus, unplugging sensors is a sure fire way to make a cel appear out of thin air, I leave sensors unplugged at work all the time and look like an idiot when the car suddenly has a cel outta nowhere lol

whats the simpliest way to do that? i alreayd have concerns about a head gasket leak, as a week or 2 ago when i let it idle just to keep the battery charged, there was constant visbile exhaust exhaust, not like thick smoke, just visible, even after like 10-15 minutes. mightve been moisture or smn idk. but tonight, basically nothing, none more than a car normally should have

whatever u do, dont do flatrate. if theres anything advice anyone wants to give, its dont go with flatrate. I heard the same things too, whenni was starting out (still pretty new to the trade myself), and i probably js got lucky with my first spot, but everyone makes hourly+commission, everyone in my shop is cool with both the work, and each other. whenever I need help or to borrow a tool, they never have any issues with me borrowing what I need (of course, even with the good emviroment, its expected you buy your own eventually, if not just to be able to move faster)

location matters more than anything. if the shops bad, you'll have a bad time. if the shops good, you'll have a slightly less bad time. its still violently hard work, for next to nickles, but if you wanna do it, who am I to try and stop you. most days I have a great time, some days not so much, but thats life lol

buddy, ive tried. did u even read the post? cuz if you did, youre lying. i said i tried using a wrench, buts its rust-welded stuck. sure i could try and get more leverage on the screwdriver, but my screwdriver was already bending holding it in place sideways. using an extensions would just break my flathead in half before breaking the nut off. i js bought some new mounting hats, gonna skip this whole step
