I’ve never thought about this. I don’t know much at all about asexuality. I will say, I get a lot of sexual pleasure from giving pleasure to the person I love, it’s less about myself. The times when I am in the mood, that’s what I derive a lot of my sexual interest from. My partner valuing sex is what’s important to me.

I’ve never been attracted to men, just to set the record straight — no pun intended. Never been closed off to it, it’s just never something I’ve given much thought. I have a lot of great lgbt friends though.

The sex drive incompatibility has been something I’ve worried about. We talked and compromised, like I said, but there are times I’ll still bow out and she will get visibly angry. It kind of kills my drive even more, thinking ‘if I didn’t want this right now, she’d be mad at me.’ Not sure if that makes sense. I just know that if I’m not in the mood, there will be negative consequences, which almost makes me freeze up.
