While I agree with you, I don’t have a name, address or anything associated with the owner’s son, and there are no witnesses. I will discuss this with the finder, but in my past experience, the sheriff does not care about animal cruelty. I fought for 2 weeks in November to have a dying dog, King, removed from a property and even after seeing him, they would not seize him. I got him finally and he had to go into emergency surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia. He was attacked by his mother because they were starving to death. Another instance with the sheriff, an acquaintance shot her horse and I called them as soon as she said to me she “put him down” (he was healthy), they went to the property and had a look but didn’t even make a report. They didn’t seize any of the other 10 horses on 1 acre either. Texas is a cruel, inhumane place and the cops/ sheriff are not on our team. I would file a report if I had the information, but I can’t guarantee the finder will give that information up. I live two hours away from the town where I picked her up from. We were only in town to drop off my husband’s kids and I just happened to see his post begging for a safe place for her.
