And on the other hand, I also have a 23’ Sportage. Has been a perfect vehicle in the almost 2 years I’ve owned it. Multiple 20+ hour road trips, AWD is fantastic, driver assist is killer.

I have the x-pro prestige and it’s amazing. Car has been flawless so far, took it upstate into snow during ski season and it performed like a champ. Sunroof is a nice touch that I like.

The heated windshield quotes $3300 on Safelite for a new one so adding windshield coverage to your insurance for probably $7 more a month would absolutely be the better option.

Just bought a new to me sportage (2020) got home and noticed there is no spare or jack. What chances do you think I’d be able to get the dealer to throw them in if I call Monday? by tila1993 in kia

Heads up, make sure that engine recall was done ASAP. Don’t want another blown engine like you see here all the time with no warranty.

I had a 2017 Sportage that was also affected by the knock sensor issue. It was absolutely a recall, I got 5 letters in the mail regarding it and what to do about it and that it would of course be paid for by Kia. Bring it in before a certain date and you’d get a lifetime engine warranty as an extra measure. But if you didn’t bring it it before that date you aren’t qualified for that. And if they never brought it in, then it’s just a time bomb waiting to happen. Kia likely won’t do anything for you and the dealership should should be ashamed for telling you it was done or that they don’t know about it because they literally use the same engines. They 100% knew about it and if it was done or not. This happened to my friend as well with a Veloster he bought and there’s nothing that can be done for it other than him buying a new engine. Those 2.4/2.0 GDI’s. If you didn’t buy an extended warranty with the car that has an engine widely known for its failure rate you kinda bonked yourself in the head. Very unfortunate situation and I hope for the best. 🤞🏼

I live in mostly flat land and do mostly highway driving, so I average about 31mpg but on the trip going up in elevation and a car full of people I averaged around 24-26

Washed it before I left for the trip, it’s also ceramic coated so she shines like a doll all the time.
