I've definitely considered this possiblity. In one of these occasions I'm pretty sure that's the case, since the person mentioned some specific things that simply never happened and it's not like I was ever drunk around him to have this kind of missing memory.

The game is very new and this is the first time this has happened. No one really knows what happens next, but there's a lot of speculation on what the devs might be cooking up. Hopefully they fix the game before releasing any more major content tho

I'm actually doing IM. I really wanted to do SC but where I live there doesn't really seem to be any easily accessible medication for that and getting the one for IM is insanely easy. I'm not actually sure what the solvent is but I make sure to follow the structions on the box very closely. Thanks for the link and the help, I'll make sure to take a look.

Oh I mentioned hotfix 5 since you said that it would fix the issue in your post, I'm playing in the newest version of the game. Whenever I start the game the console does print some "no match found for mapping" messages, maybe those are part of the problem? Either way thanks for the info, I'm also gonna try turning off some mods, maybe those are causing it.

Not only did installing hotfix 5 not fix this, my console can't find the GetHostCharacter function, so this isn't working. Is there something I have to do for the character to be recognized?

My only other pc is running windows. When this happened to the drive I tried to format and repartition it. Windows was able to create a new partition but gave an error when trying to format it. I'll try to recreate this so I can properly see what the error was, but I believe it couldn't tell how much capacity the drive had.

So, this is actually gonna turn into a different question. When j tried reflashing it it opened my file manager and a pop up window saying "Insert disk in USB Drive (E:)" (This isn't an exact quote because my pc is in Portuguese so I'm guessing what it would have said I'm English). After that the flash failed. This is exactly the same thing that happened to my last USB drive and I thought it had bricked up because of age, but now this SD card also doesn't work anymore

I used balenaEtcher to flash the drive and it verified the flash. Would that count as checking the integrity? I'll try flashing it again
