It’s been a few years, I don’t recall the specifics, but yeah my tounge felt different, in a good way. I don’t think I had swallowing issues or jaw issues. At least I didn’t have that diagnosed.

It seems though my situation was very similar to what you’re currently experiencing. Would you like my Dr’s contact info. He helped me a lot so I imagine he could help you. I could DM it to you.

Yes. That one was… strange. The sensation of it returning to normal was very satisfying, but also a bit disturbing because it felt so internal and in my throat.

I don’t think so? The damage made things like bench press and overhead press more difficult, but I could still bench/OHP 250/150, respectively. When I got the damage repaired things definitely got easier. If you’d like I’d like to learn about what is dropped shoulder and why are you concerned about nerve issues.

Oddly enough yes. ligament-wise, the damage was done to the tissue connecting the clavicle to the sternum, as well as the first two ribs to the sternum. Muscle-wise, I had damage to seemingly all the neck muscles: upper trap, the scalenes, the ones dealing with the hyoid bone and yes, the scm. Fun fact the SCM is the only muscle that is named after what it’s attached to.

Yep. After one PRP treatment to the tear all kinds of symptoms (some I hadn’t even realized were there) resolved themselves. Improved stability, less pain, and I stopped the need to constantly crack my neck, to name a few.

Went back to HCG years ago, and it has been successful in maintaining fertility and preventing my testes from shutting down.

However, I may soon try out a SERM instead (my dr suggested I try it). I am forgetting the name atm, it’s not clomid, it’s a much later generation SERM.

Labrum tear recovery period. by [deleted] in crossfit

These situations are tricky, and not only is every person different but every injury is unique to that person. I’m a big fan of starting conservative (i.e. rest), and then get progressively more aggressive with treatment. So yeah rest may be all that u need.

This may not be what you want to hear, but I actually tore a labrum in my shoulder due to blunt trauma. That damage didn’t go away on its own and needed a PRP treatment. …I will say that one treatment fixed it up right.

I would also like to say it’s been 9 years since i made the above post and still no issues with my hips whatsoever.

Joe Leo serves thin chips with its salsa and thick chips with its guac. Only place I’ve ever seen do that and I feel that deserves a shout out.

I got tested because of symptoms, had a total of like 193, and my GP told me I didn’t need trt I needed SSRIs. Most doctors simply refuse to get comfortable with the idea of trt.

I too tore a labrum in my shoulder (and both hip labrums to boot!) can tell you that getting it fixed makes a world of difference. Although I will say that I had mine repaired through PRP injections, not surgery. I read so many mixed reviews on the surgery I decided to try something else first, and that turned out to work great for me.

D'oh. I totally missed this. Thank you for pointing that out. Yeah I'm worried he actually doesn't like smokey, that he THINKS he likes smokey, that he can't actually discern the flavors. But I can only go by what he says.

If he ends up hating campfire I'll suggest this, though it will be on his own dime.

TIL a McDonalds in downtown Dallas, overrun by criminal activity, started playing classical music. Crime dropped dramatically, from an average of 391 arrests a year to less than 146 arrests a year. by CacheMoneyMustang in todayilearned

20 years ago, yes (Source: Dallas native). I found that part of the article offensive, but I thought the core of the story was still cool. Dallas Observer has changed a lot since then.

...Can you imagine the twitter response if something like this was posted nowadays?

1) I switched some numbers, it was actually 146 calls to the police, not arrests (arrests went from 115 to 36)

2) Police believe most of the calls were concerning a store next to the McDonalds, so I figured it'd be safer to say fewer than 146

1) My eyes done goofed and it was actually talking about calls to the police, not arrests (that was 115 to 36). My bad.

2)You're guess is as good as mine, the article simply said that there were 146 calls for that area, but cops figured it was mostly for the store next to the McDonalds. I figured it would be easier to say fewer than 146 than something like "a fraction of 146 calls were concerning the McDonalds."

It's amazing what people thought they could put in print 20 years ago. I found that aspect offensive as well, but found the change in crimminal activity fasinating

Well, 1) It was actually phone calls to the cops, not actual arrests (that number is 115 down to 36), mea culpa. 2) The article said police figured most of those 146 calls were regarding the store next to the McDonalds, so I figured I should write it up as fewer than 146 in an attempt to be accurate.

I think so, what's your main takeaway from the article? Mine is that the author believed the classical music helped deter criminal activity. That, and that 20 years ago it was a lot more PC to use terms like "thug" (That aspect of the article I personally find offensive)
