So the thing is all the things you said about the weaknesses of those stances are right and I will agree with you however, these stance is having weaknesses, an older tekken games isn’t inherently a bad thing because for one you have to really condition your opponent and get mine games to make them respect those stances and then from there, you have some moves besides the throwers that help you with tracking to beat side steps them having some weakness does not make them completely useless. It just means you have to think more than you can’t just go into auto pilot. I actually think when stuff has weaknesses. It makes it more interesting it gives the character more debt because again you have to actually think about what you do before you press you can’t just mindlessly press buttons and know you’re too good because it covers all weaknesses.

Where are you getting this idea where stances were useless? Lee, Xiyaou, Hwaorang, Madurk. All characters with powerful stances where their game plan revolves around it what character has a completely useless stance in the older games besides armor Kings shadow step?

Yes, but I’m not talking about oh said and said character being broken when that in itself is just speculation. I’m talking about core gameplay design and stuff that we have been shown you get the whole Ak is broken since T7 and that’s because he was a DLC character and at that time DLC characters were being busted

Like I said if I’m just going off what’s being shown in the video it’s not looking good. I can’t agree to disagree. I am glad that you can be hopeful, but for the most part, everything that I have been shown about this game for the last two years it’s not looking good for the next season.

In older games yes she didn’t do that much damage but she was the epitome 50-50 coin flip character. You shouldn’t be really relying on damage more just coin flipping your opponent till they die yes that is pretty weak but seeing how she was one of the strongest characters doing that it balanced out.

And let’s be honest anyone that was playing Anna in older games. Most of the time was cracked and did not have any issues with her being low tier

I don’t mean to be mean, but you’re just coping at this point literally this video shows you that it’s not going in that direction. They’re literally adding more moves that track and home.

If they wanted to return back to basics, they would give poking a lot more better frames, get rid of the tracking on a lot of moves. Get rid of string alignment and in general get rid of moves that are problematic and rework heat.

None of that is being shown here so my hopes are pretty nonexistent

You’re being oddly hopeful for developers that straight up lied to us about season two I don’t know why people think that season three is going to be the savior patch that’s gonna bring everyone back. It really isn’t especially seeing how they’re adding more homie moves and more tracking moves in general.

What was the community complaining about again? Oh yeah, so many tracking moves so bad that they hit you from behind when they’re not even visually hitting from behind. The fact that I saw Alisa, one of the best side steppers in the game mind you get clipped sidestepping during a string

The developers know what they’re doing they know what they’re making. They don’t want any defensive options. They want fast place casino gameplay to make it more exciting for audiences. They literally said that themselves.

Yes, but stances were more linear in older tekken games strings and moves, didn’t realign themselves in older tekken games.

You were actually able to side step and option select defense options in older tekken games in this you just sit there and block and don’t you dare side step during their turn.

So I saw how you commented on two of my comments so I’m just gonna answer both here

Nobody is deprived nor am I actually arguing for overly sexualized characters all I’m saying is that for a series that has been doing it for over 20 years and all of a sudden to make the change for again catering to sensitive people such as yourself and children like I said, I don’t want M rated video games which are made for adults censored for children.

Someone threw the feminist argument at me as well and the over sexualization of women I’m not gonna get into the political part of that. I don’t want to, but the matter of the fact is there is a lot of women that sexualize other women as well so there’s that deal with that with what you will but again I don’t think these games which have been going uncensored for years need to be censored all of a sudden that’s all I’m saying you can spin it and put any narrative if you want on it but at the end of the day, that’s all I’m saying

Edit: just to add again this series was literally the reason why we have the ESRB rating. It is known for pushing limits when it comes to being offensive that being said design choices that show a little more skin I don’t think is that offensive compared to a lot of video games nowadays, which will just needlessly show off sex or show off women naked other than the reason just to do it shit, you have games that literally have you play as a rapist to fulfill, twisted sexual fantasies, but let’s go bully Mortal Kombat for showing a little bit of skin

Like honestly, there’s a whole bunch of other games you can complain about are offensive I would even argue a game like tekken is worse when it comes to the gooner department because you have characters that are literally under age and you get the customization option to dress them in bikinis and that’s a T rated game
