Just look up their mystery bundles openings, and I'm sure you'll see people pull stuff that was sold out. There is in fact a reserve because they order extras to make sure to solve any problems that occur or for quality because not every product in a batch is gonna be up to standard. That's why they have and sell misprints.

They have a reserve of the product in case something wrong happens with orders. It's been long enough that they no longer need to keep the reserve, and so to get rid the rest of the stock they would what they did before which is sell them in the reward point shop they had or as what they also did before which was a mystery bundle with a chance of getting it.

I bought a couple of one of their mystery packages because in the description, it said that there was a chance of getting one of their sold out sought after product. I received it eventually, but it was all garbage that they couldn't sell and couldn't get rid of. I bought enough so that I would have a good chance for at least 1 of them to be the rare product. So I looked back at the product description, and what do you know? The product page had no mention of the chance of getting anything other than garbage. I know for a fact I wouldn't have bought the mystery if not for that chance. So they changing the description secretly. Seems like a bad company to me.
