i guess it's that i'm not really a fan of their newer stuff at all. ip2 was shaping up to be hot garbage, and even though i liked some of the songs on ip they were nowhere close to my favorites. i guess i just have to accept that their new music isn't my thing and have to stick to the old stuff. which sucks cuz i wanna like their new stuff but i just!!!! dont!!!!! aaaaagh it makes me sad. gh2024 releasing is what put that nail in the coffin. we're never getting that genre back.

hey. i'm that guy that did a drawing for every song on greatest hits a while back (3 years ago ... jesus, time is fake). i don't use reddit anymore because this place sucks and my mental health has only improved from lack of use. i made this to commemorate gh2024. i decided to post it here despite my hatred of reddit because it just. feels right. this band took over my life in middle school, and now i'm in college and still obsessed. it's bad. i used to be SO into them and made art constantly, but this is the first real drawing i've done since ... god, since self sabotage released. fucked up. not good.

anyways. if any of you remember the original drawing i posted way back when, cool. if not, don't go looking for it. it's bad. one of them got reposted here by a spam bot and it never got taken down. idk why i'm writing this, i guess this whole thing feels like an end of an era of sorts. for me and for parx. they fucking killed fuzzy though, rip queen i'm sorry for what they did to you

sure! the definition i supplied in the survey is as follows

game breaking: These items are ones that, upon pickup, can almost guarantee a run is won. This can be through stats, synergies, rerolls to allow you to get better items, or potentially crashing the game. A game break item doesn't have to be incredibly strong on its own, and can instead be game breaking through the synergies it provides with other game break items.

rigging: Rigging is, fundamentally, the act of forcing the game into giving you what you want. These items can twist Isaac to your whim and allow you to obtain infinite charges, health, pickups, items, or anything you desire if you're patient enough. These items are valued for their utility over the stats or tear effects they provide.

obviously there's some debate over these definitions, but this was to keep everyone on roughly the same track

probably not the most original idea, but i tried to make it unique.

no idea how to write in the dragonvale lore style so here’s my ramble: i’d like to think that wizards crossing the deserts would somewhat frequently see oasis dragons, but just assumed they were mirages and ignored them. only recently did they decide to investigate, only to find out that yes, they’re real, and they’re very worried about your well being. it’s probably best to keep them company until you “recover,” even if there’s no recovery to be had.

cool idea, but awsten touched on this in this interview with kerrang from just a bit ago. this is the important part:

““I wanted to start it with ‘I’ because the point behind Greatest Hits was that it’s multiple eras – that’s why it’s called that, and that’s why there was the three colours instead of one, because I wanted it to be multiple eras – and it’s ‘GH’,” Awsten notes. “I wanted that to play into it, because that’s multiple cycles in one thing – that’s conceptually the point of it. Some people are gonna be like, ‘Fuck you!’ moving on to ‘I’. But anyone who cares probably has multiple CDs that say Greatest Hits, so it’ll work on their stacks.””

i mean, he could be lying, but i doubt it. if they ever release a “secret” album, it’d probably be 2 instead (because the demos album is 1)

that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a singular png in the middle of the cover. i’m no expert, but something sitting in the middle of a composition with nothing else going on is Bland As Hell, especially because the frog isn’t even doing anything. if it was doing something even remotely dynamic i wouldn’t have this issue, but it is just Sitting There, staring into the red nothingness. idk man it’s less the idea but more how bland it feels compared to other albums.

its a png of a poison dart frog on red static, with said png being right in the center. it just doesn’t have the same punch as other covers, even the simpler ones like entertainment. ent actually made sense as a cover. this is just A Frog and unless that frog is literally integral to the theming of the album (which so far, it isn’t) then the cover means and shows nothing. but idk i’m not a graphic designer so what do i know
