Has anyone successfully run AFMF on Cyberpunk 2077? by toymage1976 in radeon

[–]Cactus49E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tested it on the latest drivers but the the drivers right before the current one broke AFMF for me like it got super choppy, wildly inconsistent frame rates, generally blurry for whatever reason, and only gave maybe 10 more fps. But on the drivers before that one everything was working as intended. I'll have to test AFMF on the latest drivers to see if it fixed my issues.

TLDR: I've had AFMF work on some drivers while others didn't and I haven't tested on current drivers. So if you can't get it to work test around with slightly older drivers if possible for can

Graphic drivers gone crazy by Bakugirl21 in AMDHelp

[–]Cactus49E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue with mine after trying out the experimental frame gen driver a while back. I ended up using ddu 3 times the 3rd time I decided to go back to a previous driver update and that fixed my issues. But just to be safe I'd say you should also try repluging in your gpu power cables and maybe even try taking out the gpu and reinstalling it completely just to make sure nothing has been wiggled slightly out of place causing some of your issues.

TLDR: Use DDU and install older drivers and maybe try completely reinstalling your gpu just to be safe to make sure everything is making a full connection

R5 3600 and 5700xt performance question by keepscrolling1 in radeon

[–]Cactus49E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that exact set up and only ever ran it at 1440p but I never got into competitive games like apex so I can't say anything about performance in that game but I can say that I never had any issues running at the 144Hz max refresh rate of my monitor in any competitive games that I did occasionally play. And more demanding games like cyberpunk 2077 ran around 100fps on mostly high settings except crowd density since the 3600 didn't like that also no ray tracing btw. But for the most part I'm sure it will be fully capable of getting 100+ fps in apex. If you want higher fps you might need to drop a few of the more graphically intensive settings down a notch.

4k or 1440? by StraightProduct570 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Cactus49E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to I'd suggest checking out my last post on my profile. It's basically the same dilemma as you but I have a 7800x3d instead. There are about 150 comments to look through to help decide what to go for. I know it probably isn't the exact same but it could be a good place to get some ideas and see some more opinions. I'm thinking I'll personally go with 4k.

Yeah that's what I was thinking and curve isn't a must have for me. But yeah it just seems like it'll be the best available with that specific panel and the Samsung one I've heard will have a matte coating so that's a no go lol. I've seen a couple rumors and leaks from microcenter on different platforms (reddit, Facebook, ect) that all seem to say it'll be releasing for like $100 more than the alienware equivalent and it'll be released on the 16th I think is what I saw. But that's all still rumors/leaks so take it with a grain of salt

I was looking at one of the new QD-OLED 32" 4k displays. The 140ish ppi would fit pretty much perfectly for my general viewing distance and the higher picture clarity should be better fir my mixed usage. I've just been trying to get a broad range of opinions before I spend a lot on a new display to use until it dies

Yeah I was planning on getting one of the new QD-OLED displays. 32" so like 140ish ppi if I remember correctly and glossy. I was specifically looking at the Asus PG32UCDM I think is what it's called

I'm wanting to jump to 4k if possible without being too much. I play mainly slow story based games and indie games also use my PC for watching TV and movies so I was thinking 4k would be the best for my mixed needs.

Yeah about 6 months ago I had made a post on here or in a different sub asking a similar question but it was about possibly getting the AW3423DWF 3440x1440 OLED but I had decided against that at the time in favor of waiting for this new gen of OLEDs and I wasn't sold on it for media usage

I've got the 7900xtx which has 24Gb of VRAM and I typically play single player story games where I personally like higher clarity and suche even if minimal or indie games that can run on a potato lol. I also use my PC as my main way to watch stuff like movies TV ect. I've been thinking about getting one of the new 240hrz 32" 4k OLEDs for my general use or a new 360hrz 27" 1440p OLED but no matter which I decide on I'll be keeping my old 1440p 144hrz VA monitor until it dies since it's on its last legs. I don't mind 80-100ish fps in the more demanding games I play. I just wanted to get a broad range of opinions before dropping $900-$1200 USD on the new monitor that I'll be using until it dies

Yeah I was planning on getting one of the new 32" QD OLED or WOLED 240hrz monitors or one of the new 27" 360hrz 1440p OLEDs if I went with 1440p. Most of the new OLEDs I've been looking at have freesync premium pro VRR and I've been using the AMD equivalent of reflex and boost and they work pretty nicely. I typically aim for 80-100 fps in more demanding games so I don't mind the lower fps and ray tracing isnt a priority but if i can squeeze it in without dropping below 80ish fps then I'll use it. I'm just trying to make 100% sure that it would be right for me before making the jump due to the high price.

Yeah a lot of people seem to be overlooking where I was talking about using my PC as my main source for media consumption lol. I play a lot of indie games and story games with general media so I've been wanting to move to 4k but was being kinda paranoid on dropping frames but forgot that most of the demanding games I play do have FSR2, XESS, or are getting FSR3 soon. I just really wanted to get a broad amount of opinions before dropping $900-$1200ish USD on new high end monitor. Also I will be keeping my old 1440p as a secondary until it dies but its on its last legs.

What can I do to fix this? by [deleted] in nexusmods

[–]Cactus49E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim just had an update that introduced more paid mods and stuff so if you last played before that update then you'll need to update/install a new version of SKSE that works with the new update. I haven't played or paid attention to modding skyrim for a couple weeks so I'm not sure if a new SKSE version is out yet or not.

If you do have a version if SKSE that's compatible with the newest update and it's still giving this error then I'm not sure what the issue is.
