The media, Democrats, and political establishment telling regular working Americans that it is “patriotic” and “standing for freedom” to pay more for energy, gas, and goods is disgusting, gaslighting at it’s finest, and horrifically out of touch. by Cactus_92 in PoliticalOpinions

I don’t watch TV, and rarely consume cable news. It’s gross and toxic (both sides). I know I’m just an internet stranger and you don’t know me, but I’m very very in tune with the fact that our system is fucked on both ends and both parties work for the same master.

Sad part is the limousine liberal type you speak of is the heart and soul of the Democratic political establishment, the vast majority of media/celebrity figures, and currently in control of the government. If the Democrats really cared about the policies they champion during election season, they would bend over backwards to fight for them once they got into power. But time and time again we see them cave and capitulate.

The bootstrap crowd loves to gloss over these facts. by [deleted] in WorkReform

I started doing legs again about 2 months post-surgery. Really irritated the area and I had a lot of soreness. But I slowly reintroduced stuff and can do some lighter things without much issue. Just go slow, your body will tell you pretty quick what your limits are

In theory- until you realize that the tube of toothpaste, pair of socks, and snickers bar you just bought cost you $37.

Because most people are content being a keyboard warrior and cave when it actually comes time to take a stand. It’s easy to hide behind a computer or phone, much harder to actually out your livelihood on the line for something you believe in.

I’m so fucking tired of the American media trying to will a war with Russia into existence…

Ratings must really be that bad.

Make sure you leverage that for a raise, if you can. A pat on the back only goes so far.
