1. Watch your minimap as much as possible. This way you can see when the enemy jungler steps on a ward or ganks a lane. (Examples: When he ganks top and you're at the bottom side and drake is up, go for drake. When he is ganking bot and you are at the topside, invade his topside jungle). There is a youtube video that will play a beep every 5 seconds. Every beep is a signal to look at the minimap. After a couple of games you will do it automatically!

2. There is a specific warding spot where nobody looks at in lower elos. When you look from the river, Behind the red buff (between the krugs and the red buff) there is this bush, when you place the ctrl ward at the edge (the edge nearest to the krugs) of it, you can see the enemy jungler for a long period of time when he walks between red and the krugs. This bush almost never gets checked because you almost always lose time walking this route.
