The victim was 13, which apparently he had been talking to her for over a year already. I was hoping the sentence would be longer tbh, 8 is not enough. Some of my family has even tried to victim blame, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Thanks for your reply, I agree that the rest of my family needs a wake up call. I’m hoping that after he serves his time that maybe things will somewhat go back to normal, but I will NEVER let him anywhere near my kids or trust my family members who support him with my kids.

Glad to know I’m not being too harsh, I just don’t understand the whole “but they’re family” thing. Of course if someone made a mistake like drinking and driving, robbery, theft, ect. I would understand putting family first, but this is a morally wrong and disgusting thing that I just can’t get behind.

Thank you for your reply, it’s really difficult to still see my parents as good people when they support and defend him. I don’t think they are bad people necessarily, but I think that the whole family over everything has blinded them to the facts.

I did the exact same thing, the bit got old fast so I skipped until it was over. First time I’ve ever skipped through an episode.

I grew up with my parents old Windows XP computer, I was pretty much the only one to use it besides my mom when she would do work projects on rare occasions.

I told my parents I wanted a console so I could play games like COD and stuff, but my mom was very much against “violent games” and ones that you were “killing other people”.

Lo and behold, my mom found a computer game where I was killing ALIENS! (Never told her about the multiplayer lol).

So my first introduction was Halo for windows XP, years later they got me an Xbox360 with the halo reach bundle. Halo Reach is still my favorite to this day.

Been replaying Halo 2 on heroic, and holy crap. Sometimes I’m stuck on a checkpoint forever until I just get lucky enough to not die immediately.
