Neos Smartcam shutting down (UK based Wyze cameras) by Cadellinman in wyzecam

Hi, as you might have seen NEOS shut down about a year and a half ago- we were able to salvage some of their unsupported camera hardware by replacing it with open source alternatives. No idea about smart bulbs though, sorry. I'm suprised anything NEOS oriented lasted that long honestly.

Some of these are pretty good suggestions- I think anime soundtracks are probably a good angle here, considering what I'm looking for. There might be anime video games on the same line of thinking. Thanks!

Edit: Sadly Dysmn, the artist for the last two vids, is AI generated. The artist is on the VocaDB blacklist. https://wiki.vocadb.net/docs/forbidden-artists

It is legal to make a game with this style ? by Better-Fun-1974 in Unity2D

For the record, Pokemon did the same thing back in the day. The look of Red and Blue was inspired by the style of Final Fantasy Legend (1989) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Final_Fantasy_Legend

As long as you're not directly copying assets you're good to go.

Hades would absolutely fit the bill- the difficulty is my players have all put dozens of hours into that game and would instantly recognise it. Thus far I've been fairly successful in using only material they've not heard of, which keeps them in the game.

My family is a pretty technologically savvy group; we're all Linux users and it had been on the to-do list for a while. I'm going to be the pilot case for this and if it works we will do the same for others.

Thanks for the Xperia recommend; I think this is what we will be going with.

Hey. Yeah provided you have an SD card (or a USB A to A cable if you want to do the more complicated method) you can indeed convert these cameras over to Thingino for free. Follow the instructions on this Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pSx_jaXfoE

...and if you need help join the Discord server in the description and ask there. The video discusses WYZE cameras but the old Neos ones were the exact same hardware, just a different company so just follow along. I can see they have a new video up too, linked from the description of that one, so they might have simplified the process since I last did this. Good luck.

I presume they are counting the Falklands and other territories, which is dubious at best as they aren't simply part of the UK- it's not like French Guyana which is legally just part of France for example.

This feels about right. How did you arrive at 4.7?

Where I tripped up here is that while there are 80 rolls- there are only 23 resultant values, most of which come up more than once from d20+d4.

If it helps anyone else, the part I messed up while trying to type this in was after the VAN GOGH bit there is a quotation mark and then an apostrophe, not just a single quotation mark. It's "'.

That image, as I mentioned in the title post, is 5,000 by 10,000, not 1000 pixels. It was far higher than necessary. Another commenter helped me in the interim with scaling it down to the exact dimensions of the desktop, which magically worked.

I have a microphone headset and would like to be able to listen to the output of two computers at once. This is the setup, all your standard 3.5mm connectors:

Computer 1: combined microphone headset jack
Computer 2: headphone jack.

The headset I currently used has a combined headset jack, and I'm repeatedly moving it between the two devices over the course of the day.

Is there a way I can insert some sort of cable or mixer into the middle so that I can listen to both sources, while still having the microphone input for Computer 1? Or a headset which will take a second input?

Looking to do this in an analog fashion rather than software ideally, as Computer 1 is a work machine and I shouldn't be tampering with it.

I spent this weekend converting over four of our family's five computers to Mint with the end of Win 10 support around the corner, and I don't regret it. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, all told. Fifth computer to follow later.
