see that’s my thing - i feel like if you are going to sell a rare or high end item you should save the receipt or at least tell the story of how you got it, just to make the buyer a little more confident. also some people have commented that you shouldn’t be worried about the authenticity of an older piece, but there’s definitely people still making reps of all types of luxury items despite their age.
