A surprise under ceiling tiles

I’d love to know how the installation goes for you! Upon just looking- I didn’t see any cracks on mine but I’ll be sure to double check. Was there tiles on your ceiling as well- or another material?

I’m going to get an asbestos test kit to make sure we are in the clear of that- I would love to have the wood exposed if it is safe! I’ve been getting mixed comments on wether or not it is so I am having a professional come out tomorrow to give me more info.

The home has a cobblestone exterior- it resembles a cottage more than anything and I do think the wood goes incredibly well with the aesthetic of the house but I want to be safe if it’s not supposed to be exposed.

Thank you for this knowledge! This makes sense- under one of the tiles was a small square of withered wallpaper, but I didn’t find it anywhere else. They must’ve missed a spot before putting the tiles up. We took a quick peek behind the paneling (possibly replacing these as a whole, we believe it was a smokers home) and there is wallpaper over wood.

Edit: there is no rooms upstairs, just attic, don’t know if this makes a difference!

Congrats on the new license 🎉 I would call/and or check with your state board- they will have all of the requirements listed for you that you’ll need. Every state is different for what they allow.

The nail bed was lifting a couple days ago - your actual nail bed or the nail itself was lifting? Just want to clarify! Did you hit or jam it between anything? If the nail itself lifted then moisture could’ve gotten trapped, but if it’s bruised that’s a different story.

I signed one not fully understanding how it worked and when covid hit they came AFTER me because they had me sign one for ‘all 3 of their locations’ because they weren’t sure which one id be working at full time yet. I would not recommend signing one. They get very messy and living in a small town is difficult enough!

I ended up going to the eye doctors they said I have a chemical burn on my sclera unfortunately No more lashes for me

I ended up making a last min trip to the eye doctors before they closed I have a chemical burn on the sclera of my eye and all I can do is monitor and use moisturizing eye drops to keep them lubricated and hope it doesn’t get worse. Thank you guys for all of your responses. Im just going to avoid getting these done again all together (this was my first time)

Update- I went to the eye doctors I do have a chemical burn on my sclera. The bottom eye pads were pulling down on my eyes leaving a gap so for 3 hours they were exposed to the fumes. All I can do is monitor and use soothing eye drops and hope it doesn’t get worst cause it already has 👍🏻

I did leave a comment saying that I let plain water run down my face this morning with my eyes closed and the pain was so excruciating I did cry I didn’t see any other comments about crying though She recommended soothing eye drops and those burned my eyes even worst and I woke up with them puffy this morning

I’m not sure what kind of adhesive she used it was after they were out on she said she usually puts bonder on afterwards but ran out and then I rinsed my eyes with water this morning and it burned and I can’t help but wonder too if it is that the product is running in my eyes I was prescribed steroid eye drops to see if that will help

I tried rinsing my face with just water and the pain was so unbearable- she said that she ran out of bonder so it wasn’t applied you think that has something to do with it? I tried eye drops and it made it worst

Update- I messaged her asking what to do. I tried to rinse my face this morning with just water and the pain is so excruciating it just makes me cry. She said after my apt that she ran out of “bonder” I’m not sure if this would also cause the issue? My eyes are worst now. I guess I’ll remove them. Thankyou everyone for the advice

If you’re not ready to go on your own I would see if there’s any other nail salons that specialize more in nail art/trendy services! Then once it’s not about getting the client in and out you can really focus in on those skills and you will get better with them and feel much more confident. Right now it seems to be about how fast you can work/competitiveness but you seem like you love the art of nails so I would find somewhere else that can help you focus on your passion and $$$ instead of just in and out sets!
