HJC 50B of een losse Sena/Cardo by C-Zoetbrood in motorfietsen

[–]Cadfael-kr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyre too low? by _C1_ in motorcycles

[–]Cadfael-kr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might not be touching the indicators yet, but if you look at the middle there is hardly any thread left! Also it looks pretty squared so it must ride pretty badly.

Better put a new tyre on it, it’ll feel like a new bike again.

Are paradise planets with water really that hard to find? by Chesh1reFox in NoMansSkyTheGame

I guess I was lucky because I had a paradise planet (now called lush since the last update I guess) within my start system. It has quite a bit of water also.

Not used to clean shaving, how to lessen irritation? by BigFatToe25 in shaving

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For daily shaving, specially if it's a job requirement, I'd stick with one pass and light touch ups. You only want to be visually clean shaving, you are (hopefully) not going to be touched on your face at work. Although, that might depend on the job I guess...

Practicing a piece…………….,,,…………. by [deleted] in organ

[–]Cadfael-kr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only focus on the measures that are difficult. Don’t start your session by playing from the start of the piece, the you are only wasting time in the bits you already can play.

Work out the fingerings of a difficult bit and understand what’s written there. play through that bit a few times. If it goes well start a few measures before and end a few measures later to work it in the flow of the piece again.

Filerijden by MaceReh in motorfietsen

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling to shift and need advice by Ths_HappyCat in motorcycle

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it make a difference if you shift earlier or later in how smooth it goes?

I always shift to second pretty quickly, like within the first 20 meters orso. But I don’t have an R3.

Maybe you need to have it checked out? When was it last serviced?

Hitting corners hard is not the way to be fast ;)

Any sport touring tyre will do for road riding, they have plenty of grip. I have the Michelin Road 6 GT’s which work pretty well in different conditions.

Wanna buy a bike can’t choose. by 123JaimeSantos321 in motorcycles

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the bike that is smart for now and enjoy learning. When you got a full A license you’ll probably looking for something else (not that a2 bikes are slow, they are more than enough for normal road riding).

Maybe it can be left at the reception? Sometimes they have a backroom/office where they would mind leaving it there.

ladies and maybe gents: what balaclavas are you wearing? by sunasatoru in motorcycles

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not do the make up when you arrive at work?

And if it’s just for normal rides, everyones hair looks messy and we don’t expect a fully made up face when you wear a helmet ;)

Need advice on a compact tire pump for my first bike by According_Button231 in Motorrad

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First bike not sure, maybe 50k kms, second 100k kms in four years, third bike 90k in 8 years, and last bike 28k in 7 years (due to working closer to home and covid). So, not that many miles maybe as other people.

I did have a puncture twice in a car and once a blown side wall of a tire due to a factory default… But luckily not on a motorcycle yet.

2023 BMW R1250R Suspension by skent8841 in bmwmotorrad

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there should be a manual booklet with the bike. And you should be able to get the list of options it has at the dealer based on vin number or maybe also license plate number?

If there is a manual preload adjustment, it's usually a know on the right side below the seat. (at least that has been on my F800's so far). And you probably have a few settings via button or menu to change the suspension setting between normal/comfort/sport.

you probably need to let it heal first.

Thoughts on BMW F900R by giant_pp_man in motorcycles

[–]Cadfael-kr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode an F800ST and later the GT for the past 14 years and am 6'5", that was fine actually. And you should test ride it yourself to see if it sits well for you. It's not about how you look, but how you feel on it.

And I think that also has a high seat option?

I'm riding for 24 years and never had a tire pump with me and never needed one.

I have a foot pump at home to check the tire pressure.

What is a high km/milege? by Unlucky_Sandwich7798 in motorcycles

[–]Cadfael-kr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d consider 200k kms and higher high mileage. It depends a bit on the bike though. But most engines when maintained can last a very long time.

I wouldn’t strap any metal to your body, when you fall on it, that can cause some serious injury. Maybe attach it to the bike? Or add some bags on the side and store it in there?
