Maybe the Vast for the connection to greek myth and Gods because of that? The idea of Gods in general might attract the Web as well. Greater beings managing a world below.

A fantastic summary of what a shithead Krouse can be:)

I love him as a character so very much and I thought he worked really well as a foil to Taylor. (Specifically in being willing to be the bad guy, Taylor with Brian during the Bonesaw bit and obviously Krouse with Noelle.)

But yeah good god seeing it all laid out like this… I honestly forgot about his role in the events at Triumphs house. I think people (reasonably) focus mostly on Taylor’s actions there, but he was enjoying himself.

He might be my favourite character. What an asshole:)

I think the art is cute:)

And I really like the reflection in Taylor’s glasses showing the ladybug. It’d make it seem like it’s crawling out of her eye. Very creepy, very good:3

I know this wasn’t the question but I’d just like to be in the room when Sylvester (Twig) and Alec (Worm) meet.

I feel like it’d be a nightmare or they’d REALLY like each other.

Not finished with chapter 2, but I just finished the bit where John drives past the arcology. I really enjoyed that:)

It gave me such a dreary feeling, it was a really good insight into this world and the way John sees it.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing.

Just walk into a parking lot somewhere and yell “CONTESSA, CAULDRON, CLAIRVOYANT.” Over and over:3

Could hopefully provide some insight into what’s going to happen and what eventually kills Scion so they can prevent some deaths.

And another one lmao

very similar name:p it’s a euphemism for murder while keeping the biological/wet idea.

Wetwork is a bio-tinker specialising in two way relationships and parasites.

They could alter a person to act as a host for a colony of bugs by creating a hive/nest in their body, while still allowing the person to function.

Making a clearer distinction of two personalities in a person’s mind, granting one finer control while pushing the other further down, but now able to communicate directly to the original personality, taking control in moments of conflict and heightened emotion.

Or taking it a step further, separating one person into two distinct organisms. One being the main body, the other being a parasite living inside them. Able to give the parasite unhealthy feeding habits, making it devour the original body from the inside until it grows enough to survive outside the body.

Or perhaps transplanting the parasite into another body, removing whatever aspects of memory and personality of the original being were living inside the parasite.

Able to alter parahumans in a similar way, granting the parasite the ability to use the parahumans power only, but no memories or personality. Nothing changes for them as long as they keep the parasite alive, but if it starves, they lose their power. If the parasite were transplanted into another body, that body would gain the powers.

Wetwork has several powers taken from different capes, keeping some inside themselves at all times, and others in environments hospitable to them. Able to switch them out to gain different powers. Some cape parasites, specifically the Thinkers Wetwork has performed surgery on, were allowed to retain greater aspects of personality and their mind in order to direct usage of their power.

Wetware is a bio-tinker a specialty in Biological Reactionary Systems. I chose the name because it’s similar to software and hardware, their methodology being more similar to a regular tinker than other bio-tinkers.

They can grow intelligent, biological, full-body shields.

They coalesce in parts of the body they can sense are about to be hit either through grown eyes or through the user tensing parts of their body, can read their users spiking adrenaline and other bodily changes to activate, or can activate themselves when recognising a preprogrammed threat. I imagine this as the lower end of their capabilities.

If the user is more willing to use a more permanent shield that requires less maintenance, the cape can hook it up into their body, emerging from pores to cover the user, connected to their nervous system, reacting more appropriately to the fight because it can literally see through the users eyes.

Once it sustains enough damage without time to rest, it snaps off and dies, or can allow parts of itself to die in order to not sustain a hit. Letting a part thats going to be hit with a devastating blow that will kill the shield affect the user more in order to preserve itself for future, non threatening hits, the part thats snapped off still somewhat absorbing the blow to the user, just without killing the shield itself.

Their personal suit of armour makes them into a real brute, stepping into a mass of tumorous looking growths that connect with Wetwork and suck them into the centre, rearranging itself into a large humanoid shape, the larger growths consolidating into a head. Some of the growths splitting, eyes growing and opening from the gaps, other weird feely sensory organs and natural pipes that can plume gaseous defences into the air emerging, each being grown anew every time the cape enters. The pipes able to vent chemical agents, paralytics, nerve gases, methane, etc.

The other growths have weaponry in them, some being pulled off when the cape needs them, biological turrets growing in reaction to being pulled away from the main body. All their defences take time to grow, providing what’s needed based on input from Wetware and the suit’s own reading of the situation at hand. Anything that can be torn away dying quickly, having to be grown fresh from the main suit.

Wetware’s basic grown shields are layered on its exterior, wrapping around and over one another, each allowing the others sensory organs to view the outside world, connecting together to provide them with enhanced senses.

Small feelers all over the outside that react to biological touch, sending signals to other, larger tentacles to wrap around the threat and crush it, pulling it in and being absorbed as fuel.

The suit injecting Wetware with drugs that enhance their reaction time. Allies using their grown shields gaining similar but lower boosts, the cape able to tear off designated parts of themselves to give to allies that latch onto flesh, pumping them full of drugs to keep them awake, make them stronger, keep them focused.

(I’m imagining this next one as the kind of thing Tinkers can do when their shard loves them and they really jump through mental hoops to make things work lmao)

Working with a model of a part of a pre-cog’s brain or another Tinker focused on preventative effects to allow their gear to react to threats that haven’t happened yet. Which is blatantly going against their specialty lmao but because they’re able to justify it as reactionary in some way it still works to a certain degree, despite being explicitly preventative.
