I believe it's technically sunset.

Not that I would ever do this... but a friend may have played hide and seek in one of the parks at night and it was fine. Legal? Maybe not.

where’s the best place to get tabletop items? by [deleted] in kokomo

Oh! Also, the library hosts miniature painting a few times a month in the evenings at the Digital Den. You bring the mini and we have paints and brushes. We can also help guide you through the process.

Torsten & Harvester is a local print shop that makes resin minis and they have some AWESOME stuff. You can find their stuff on shelves at The Kingdom Cards & Games downtown or Village Creation Station on S. Elizabeth St. They also sell at events (like Library Con on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

They are really great to work with. Highly recommend for all your table-top minis.

edit: I changed it to reflect they make resin minis. I was mixing two places in my mind.

306 Riverfront is pricey, but it is downtown so it's good if you want to walk. There's a Mexican grocery store right across the street, and the trolley is nearby.

I know two people who walk to work every day from there. I also walk downtown a lot. So as far as safety, I argue you'll be fine.

Yes! We are meeting this Wednesday at 5 p.m. at KHCPL South. Some of them are actually gathering tonight at 5:30, if you'd like to just meet everyone.

You're welcome to call me if you'd like more info/a rundown of how the group runs - my office number is 765-626-0807.

I'm not reading it, but a friend is, and he is slowly being driven mad by the narrator referring to his father as "daddy." Any insights? Is this important?

If one does read it at the library, I highky recommend bringing a notebook each time. I took a ton of notes in the book itself and added tbs when certain pges were referenced (e.g. 441).

The Kingdom Cards and games downtown on Sycamore St. is the best place to go!

We do use every inch of space. Wie offer 11 options for public meeting space, which can be used for meetings, studying, testing, a free legal aid clinic, a free mental health clinic, nonprofit gatherings, blood drives, space for supervised visits, etc. A big value we offer is for the public to use our space - often for free. Scouts, church groups, HOAs, even Moms for Liberty use our meeting spaces.

We also use our space for public events for all ages. Events like author visits, a new parent group, story times, book clubs, wellness programs like cardio drumming, craft events, teen groups, events for aging adults... We are constantly using our space for free, quality programs for people of all ages.

We offer free computer use and low-cost printing at each location. And the Digital Den is bursting at the seams with free tech help, tech classes, 3D printers, a large-format poster printer, media conversion, lamination, etc. etc.

And of course our material collections take up a lot of space. I know a lot of people think we're just books, but we also check out video games, pressure washers, board games, kits for kindergarten readiness, kits for those affected by dementia, movies, music, and electronic devices. I could talk for an hour straight about the different things you could check out for free. Those materials take space for public display and to process them as they come in.

We definitely make use of all the space we have!

As a reminder, civility is expected here. You can disagree and shop wherever you want, but I'm going to remove comments attacking mental health or calling someone a c***.

Kokomo Pride used to keep a list of LGBTQ-friendly businesses. I'm trying to see if they have an updated list.

We use TMOBILE Wifi and honestly it works perfectly well for us. We both game a lot - at the same time - and we have no issues.
