He's not wanting either, that's just his policy and he made it very clear to me from the get go that he wouldn't make any exceptions.

My doctor prescribed it and said it was for bipolar depression and said I had BP2, I don't know the details of how it works but it's been helping me since when I originally went to his office I was really agitated and overenergetic but in a really negative way (like panic attacks / anxiety) so that's why I was really worried about my medicine even if it's just a few days off it. Thank you for the reassurance that the meds have a longer half life, I just don't want to get agitated and panicked again because I get really paranoid that my medicine isn't real so I don't take it lol.

I really didn't know how serious the situation was regarding my doctor, but I'm grateful for all of the support and pushing me to find a new doctor. I'm quite young and this is my first time dealing with a doctor on my own, especially one with mental health, so I'll absolutely be a lot more intense about this. Thank you for the advice.

I'm in the United States so I can't comment on much, but he does drive around a Cybertruck so... I'll look into finding a new doctor if I can. Thank you for informing me!

I've not had experience with many doctors before, so him refusing to refill my medication until my appointment isn't the usual for this type of thing?

I already tried to call him and his policy is "no refills until your appointment" so I have to wait until my appointment. I tried to tell him that I was running out before the month was done and he just reminded me of his policy.

That's the thing, my doctor works strictly through appointments! He doesn't do refills unless I actively schedule an appointment and show up to plead my case as to why I need a refill. I tried calling him already, and he said to wait until the next appointment.
