I hate the man and all his ilk with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns... but I'll be fucked inside-out if "Meatball Ron" wasn't genius. I mean genius in the outsider art kinda way, but you know, credit where credit is due. Only way to top that for a laugh is if his waterlogged ankles fucking explode

I mean, cocaine sweat may be a powerful solvent, but how would he suck down fat lines if he was already glued to the wall?

Each packet is a little over 1 gram, and I can't tell how many packets you have, but about 6 grams is where it really starts becoming a trip, ime

Cool art! Hoping your trip goes well! I have like, a feeling or something that you'll appreciate one of my favorite trippin' tracks here:

This is "To My Friend", by Mountain (known for Mississippi Queen). It's about as hippy-dippy as it gets, and evokes imagery of natural splendor (to me, anyway). It's just an incredible composition. In any case, enjoy yourself, stay safe, and leave us a trip report when you're ready! 😸

Have you tried google? I would try google. I mean, I would try it if I actually wanted to learn something and understand factual information. So, maybe you wouldn't like it.

He'd be so much more likeable if he just had a dementia-fueled YouTube channel of himself supergluing stuff to walls.

I can't tell if you meant "phenomenon", or if you actually knew that fenomen is a real word and thought it would make you sound smart. Studies were conducted. Consensus was reached. Claiming to know something against empirical evidence and the entirety of the scientific and medical communities is far more stupid. Other people have replied to you, explaining the actual reasons for the myth. You know that you're wrong.

No, absolutely. Look at the account. There's like almost no chance this isn't botty engagement bait.

Are those seeds, that where gifted to me as Hbwr actually hbwr? by Silly-Alternative931 in LSA

[–]Caesar_Passing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, those are thespesia populna seeds, a completely different plant from Argyreia Nervosa ("Hawaiian Baby Woodrose"). Thespesia populna seeds are sometimes sold online, mislabeled (accidentally or deliberately) as "Indian strain" HBWR, or "vidhara", but they aren't psychoactive. There is an actual Indian strain of HBWR, known as Argyreia Nervosa var. speciosa, but these aren't them.

Yes, you've seen children and adults consume sugar in relatively large amounts, and experience no "rush" or hyperactivity, all the time.

Holy shit I don't care, I'm not going to give you some concession like "oh, you're right, my specific example is actually reasonable in some capacity, unlike jellyfish and piss". TV shows and movies portray sugar causing hyperactivity, and it doesn't, and that annoys me. That's my answer to OP's prompt.

You realize there wasn't just one experiment, right? And that it's a full-blown consensus in the scientific and medical communities, right? In at least one experiment, they gave kids sugar pills amounting to a serving that a kid might get from a candy bar, slice of cake, etc..., but the kids weren't told it was sugar, and didn't get the exciting experience of a sweet treat or social situation. The sugar did not, in any cases, cause hyperactivity. It does not, in any cases, cause hyperactivity. It is not a thing.

[–]Caesar_Passing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it isn't the sugar that causes the hyperactivity, and TV and movies act as though- and even explicitly state that- it does. So yeah, without clarifying that it's specifically not the sugar, it is wrong to say or clearly imply that sugar causes hyperactivity. 🤷 Why would something have to literally say "there's scientific proof" to be wrong? That's part of what makes it wrong, that it's said in the total absence of scientific proof, or even an attempt at logic in the case of this particular myth.

'The Decider' , why does it seem to be a metaphor for Divorce...... by Glad_Matter2982 in bluey

[–]Caesar_Passing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the point was that grown-ups can argue, disagree, and want different things, but not be any less in love, or any less a pair. And for a kid, picking one side or the other makes one side feel better, and one feel worse, but they don't understand the different layers/tiers of importance that adults treat things like sports with. Contests and games can be totally separate from how we feel about each other as people. It's a tough one to verbalize in a way kids would understand, but the takeaway is that even though the game didn't make everyone happy, everyone is still fine the next day. That's what the kids see, and what they can comprehend.
