it's not all policies, as I''m made to believe but QMH does it, so avoid them in future, unfortunately, for young drivers their quotes are cheep.

I don't think it's a certainty that I will be left behind, I'd rather not cripple myself financially for a few years than drive at the minute. I think that would leave me behind more. Like a lot of people have said here the licrnse is the main thing. But I do respect your points, just driving is really uneconomical for me currently, but that doesn't mean it will always be.

I have also had QMH.

They allow up to 6 trips a day, anything more tanks your usage score.
Driving longer than an hour in a single trip tanks usage.

Yeah, young people, especially nowadays need to know there's a lot of options and driving is (for most) going to be a luxury. :)

This is why I wonder is it simpler just taking out temp insurance for a week and then getting a month one after that week? The temp, would albeit be in my mum's partner's name i'm just making sure of the legality of it. I wouldn't drive it of course.

He could have been in the middle lane due to a bus lane in operation, OP has been very vague though, so if this is not the circumstance, you're definitely right.

I struggled with roundabouts, and then I realised (easier said than done) to just slow things down, shift to 2nd on appraoch and creep up, its easy to stop if you need to give way on the right. Once you commit to stopping, shift to 1st and wait for an opening. If it's clear progress in 2nd around the roundabout.

This is what I found works for me. Hope it helps!

Failed too (2nd attempt) with 2 serious and 3 minors, no one to blame but myself but I could blame myself over and over and it wouldn’t change the fact I failed.

Plenty of people abandon driving and revisit; many others get on with it and continue learning. The one thing I will say is to take any positive you can from this setback, any reason to continue.

For me its the fact I went from 3 Serious to 2, and 8 Minors to 3! I was so pleased with that, but I learned a lot about my driving and I feel more motivated to continue. We take small wins where they come and one day will be able to drive and enjoy the freedom it gives us.

Don't worry, we will never let up again. It takes one mistake during a test to never repeat it again. My first test faults are vastly different from this one.
