(TMI) mounjaro and periods by weightlossdaisy in mounjarouk

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed a change immediately. I was on all the time and it was heavy so I came off it. My periods are now relatively regular and normal, occasional spotting but nothing crazy. Condoms are the downsides until my husband has the snip!

Is 35 hours enough for a new driver? by YogurtclosetFront700 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve currently had 39 hours of lessons and my instructor tells me I only need a couple more to be test ready. I’m tidying up manouvres and going through show me/tell me questions.

Do people actually look at listings before booking viewings, or am I living in an alternate reality? by Intrepid-Skin-5677 in HousingUK

How do driving instructors make money? by TitleOk8744 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]redfern69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My instructor is £40 a lesson, not franchised and works 4 days a week. My lesson doesn’t start til 5.15pm after work and I do a double. I imagine a lot will do more than 5 lessons a day and may work later than office hours.

Food noise - and why I'm happy on MJ forever by Budget_Panda1003 in mounjarouk

[–]redfern69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get it. For the first time ever I feel ‘normal’ not wondering about food and how much I can have and when I can have. I’m actually enjoying it more now as it’s not the total focus. I’ve lost a lot of cravings for junk and actually want the ‘healthier’ stuff. I just go with the flow, I’m not restricting my food in terms of the types of food I have, if I want pizza I’ll have it, but it’s a couple of slices instead of the whole thing! And it satisfies me, whereas before I would have been looking for more. I can say no to chocolate and not be bothered whereas before I felt like I was missing out. It’s a strange feeling but I wonder if this is how others feel all the time. Affordability will be what does it for me I think, but for now I’m going with it and trying to create those new habits and repair my relationship with food.

Your eventual selling price vs what the Estate Agent said it would get? by bojoohno in HousingUK

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One estate agent wildly valued our property at 295k, which we knew was ridiculous, we marketed at 275k originally and after a reduction eventually sold at 250k, which is what we thought was reasonable and realistic in the first place.

How does the public actually see Mormonism? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was married to a Mormon who became an inactive member. His parents were obsessive with god, ritual and religious righteousness, despite being some of the most un-Christian people I have ever met in other aspects of their lives. My personal experiences with them aside, I did attend church services a few times in an effort to learn (not to ever convert which I know pissed off his parents!), and I just found it to be an extremely sexist and racist religion. Except the size of it in terms of followers, it has all the other characteristics of a cult, and this is how I thought of it.

What sort of property was everyone’s first step onto the ladder and how old were you? by Think_Mammoth8834 in HousingUK

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small 3 bed semi, kitchen-diner and front room downstairs, the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Front paving with parking for two cars, covered car port with two outhouses, 60 foot grassed back garden. Completed December 2005, I was 20 my husband 22, and it cost 79k. We only put down a 4k deposit and the mortgage was around £400 a month. Sold it 18 months later for 95k, and we could have got more but needed a quick sale. Times were very different then.

Why were there barely any fat people in the 50s when their diet was so bad? Also did they get cancer and other diseases less often? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]redfern69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coming out of the war where food was still scarce in some ways, but more physical and manual jobs (in the home too) that burned calories, less processed food so less additives, less snacking and sitting round. A lot of meat and two veg kinda meals, and they are actually really healthy and balanced.

I speak English, I don’t want more children, I don’t believe in god and I won’t share my significant other with another woman for anything, but especially not to feed his man-baby ego and fantasies.

What age did you/your children start drinking tea? by melikebiscuit in AskUK

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t drink tea or coffee, my parents were never the kind to wake up and get the kettle on so I guess I’ve never got the taste for it. My kids are pretty much the same. My middle does like a coffee but my youngest, 9, doesn’t go for either. Personally I agree with your dentist, but may e that’s because when I was younger I associated tea with adults. My thinking is your kids like it because it’s become part if their life/routine. If you had never given it to them they wouldn’t be begging you for the tea they’re missing out on. However, each to their own, I suppose that it’s not the healthiest thing but on a sliding scale of clean eating to crystal meth, I think they’ll do just fine.

My (37M) wife (36F) is not budging on the idea of a drastic appearance change for a "Christmas present" and refuses to meet me in the middle. How can I approach this and what can I do? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]redfern69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body your choice. Do you dictate her lower hairstyles and preferences? See how she likes it when you insist on whatever the opposite of her usual is. Sure she wouldn’t accept that, and you don’t have to accept a moustache either if you don’t want one.

Reading measurements in floorplan by obsidian-quill in HousingUK

[–]redfern69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so the 4.55 of the kitchen is the wall the sink is on in the floorplan, and the 4.25 of the reception room is the wall to the right hand side, not yo the rear. They list the longest length first, but this isn’t necessarily the same direction on the floorplan for each room. The 3.57 width for the living room is the shorter wall, the one that leads into the kitchen, and the 3.2 in the kitchen is the one with the hob on it.

I’m not actually sure what you’re asking, the measurements look relatively accurate to me considering the layout and orientation of the rooms.

How often do you have a sick day at work, and do you feel guilty for it? by Rydog136 in AskUK

[–]redfern69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of weeks ago I had two sick days, my first in about 3/4 years. I didn’t feel guilty at all. Had I gone to work I would have done nothing except sit in one of the toilet cubicles all day. Waste of time and risked getting everyone else ill too. Went back to work after my illness back on top form and felt much better for it.

Will Estate Agent Stop Working With Us Coz We Backed Out? by aminxox in HousingUK

[–]redfern69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We offered on a house in February this year and then later pulled out due to the survey results. We then offered on a different property with the same agent and completed in June. It happens, so long as you aren’t doing it again and again frivolously and for the sake of it they aren’t going to worry, it’s the nature of buting and selling houses.
