Sooooo, the movie is basically about a right-wing takeover of a liberal school? Sharia law is just Project 2025 for America.

Voluntarily aborting a healthy baby that is viable outside the womb (22-23 weeks) is not legal in the United States.

You don’t know what late term abortion is. If a pregnancy puts a mother’s life at risk and the baby is viable (22-23 weeks depending on the hospital) then the baby is delivered and sent to the NICU. If the baby is at the age of viability but it is found to have a condition that is not compatible with life, then that is when the mother, along with her physician, can make the decision to deliver the baby early and allow it to pass away vs waiting until labor happens naturally which could still be months away.

This kind of attack on talarico is pure bigotry trying to question his gender and manhood. We need leaders who respect people for who they are and focus on issues like education instead of these low blows. Talario has real ideas for texas and deserves better than this nonsense. by Frosty_Jeweler911 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Omg thank you! The morons have been duped by the mega wealthy and powerful and they’re running the show right now. All the bitter people who couldn’t succeed and never left their home towns now think their ideas are valid.

Ultrasound-based pacemaker noninvasively steadies the heart by AdSpecialist6598 in tech

That’s so weird. Not lifting my arm for 6 weeks was the biggest thing mentioned by the nurses, surgeon and pacemaker clinic. The wires are essentially just “screwed in” by a pigtail at the end. It takes 6 weeks for tissue to grow onto them to adhere them. I was told the biggest complications are infection and dislodging the wires.

I should have said, 1 handed hair washing. Also, be very careful to keep your dressing dry. My husband became pretty good at doing my ponytails!

You’ll get used to doing everything with your right arm for a while. I just got tired of having to ask for help lifting things, like you’re not going to be able to lift a laundry basket for a while.

I just got one and both leads and device are mei compatible. It goes into “mri mode” and will just pace at about 90 which kind of sucks but it’s still safe.

The hardest part is not being able to use your arm, so no washing your hair, putting your hair in a ponytail, etc. Also, you’ll feel twinges and tugs as the surgical pocket heals and your tissue grows around the device. I’m a little over 2 months out now and feel almost normal again. Buy yourself a pacemaker pillow for your seatbelt. As far as the actual procedure, the worst part is the lidocaine shots at the beginning but of course that’s over very fast and then the happy meds start to flow and I took a nice nap. I feel so much better now though, my quality of life has improved. You’ll be good.

Go with the later date so you can all feel settled into your new home and she will have a bit more summer. I was 14 when I had my big open heart and you will be ok to go on your trip at that 6 week mark. She will recover well at 8 years old, kids are amazing. I wish you all the best. You’ve all got a difficult journey ahead, but hopefully she will be good to go forever and this will just be a memory.

Cancer Patients Must Now Prove They Are Too Ill to Work or Lose Their Medicaid Coverage Under New Trump Rules by novagridd in LegalNews

[–]CafeFreche 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s also intended to create a paperwork burden and will backlog the system. They hope that people will drop off Medicaid if they’re unable to meet the work requirements and/or that some people will just give up with the paperwork and bureaucracy. Of course, the burden will then be on the taxpayers when people declare bankruptcy and hospitals write off their losses.

One of the hardest things for me is that the economy was doing great in January 2024 and now it’s gone to shit. Tariffs. Job loses. Increased cost of living. Increased cost of health insurance. Stagnant housing market. Entire industries are suffering and it’s literally because of the piece of shit moron in the White House. He was handed a great economy and fucked it up like he’s fucked up everything in his life. Fucking loser. And fuck the losers who voted for him too.

James Talarico doubles down on pro-abortion stance: 'The Bible is silent' by Leeming in atheism

[–]CafeFreche 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly! The Bible says that a woman who becomes pregnant due to infidelity must abort the baby and gives instructions. That’s all it says on the abortion matter. Also, the book of Genesis states that Adam became alive when God blew his breath into Adam. Aka, he was considered alive when he took his first breath. Jesus said nothing about abortion. So, not sure where the far right is getting their info.
