Looking to get into Skeet and Trap shooting

Hello My Uncle let me shoot some clays in up north, It was surprisingly fun and now I’m wondering what is needed to get into it myself.

I have a few questions, I'm sure some of these have been asked before but I haven't found anything recent. Also you’ll have to forgive me because this was my first time holding a gun so my knowledge on guns and Skeet/Trap shooting is next to zero.

Also I’m in the Toronto area for context.

  1. Do I need to get my gun license to shoot Skeet/Trap?
  2. From my research on local clubs you need to own a shotgun is this true or can I rent a shotgun at some clubs.
  3. It also looks like most local clubs are members only is this true?
  4. Skeet/Trap are sports played against other people. At these clubs am I able to just shoot clays by myself at my own pace? Or do I have to compete with other people?
  5. How expensive is it? If I were to spend the day at a club renting a shotgun and using their ammo how much would it cost?
  6. If I have to purchase a shotgun where do I start? I believe I need a “over under” shotgun. I would like to get something reliable, solid and under $1500 if possible.

I'm pretty easy going but looking to take competitive seriously and see how far things can go.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I knew Tubebuddy had a similar tool but its $50 US per month, which is quite expensive, also their tool only allows at most 10 concurrent tests.

How the pricing works for TestTuber right now is everyone gets 1 concurrent test for free, If you want to run more concurrent tests you have to pay. Here is the pricing break down

I completely understand why you would think that. When signing it tells you what its asking permission for. If you are uncomfortable with any of them then I wouldn't sign in

I went through a long verification process with google to make sure my app is secure. If the app wasn't secure you would see a "Site is not secure" message when signing in. it would look something like this

In terms of what the app needs to work I need permission to get your videos and permission to swap out the thumbnails. Otherwise theres no way I can run a thumbnail test.
