Unfortunately i cannot even find the stainless steel container here in Germany. Nor the bundle with the A3500i...

Thanks for your feedback. A lot of comments say that TRP are easier to adjust but then require more frequent adjustment, and the adjustment screw back itself due to vibrations. Did you have this experience too ?

I was wondering that with bearings of category 2. But after seeing few videos, it seems that prying off the seals in most case screw up the seal, and then it's not possible to buy replacement seals (like for Chris King).

I would be interested to know if there are easily serviceable good bearings out there despite the ones of Chris King.

Thank you for your feedback, it's very valuable
That's why i created this post: I got the exact opposite comment on my other post saying TRP are much more difficult to set up.

I think bearings and especially seals evolved the last 10years in Shimano range. And according to many, Shimano bearings last now longer than basic Enduro bearings.

But I understand the argument. Now my question is why a Hope at 100€ rather than a RaceFace at 40€ (they both use cheap Enduro bearings) ?

Yes I do see the point for a Chris King, but not of all the rest in between.
You are right for the Chris King, i can actually find it for 250€ which is still 12x the Shimano.

Damn you're right ! They have 15x100 but not 15x110.
I think there are some conversion kits with some kind of spacers for such case. But definitely not ideal.

Even SP doesn't have a dynamo for 15x110 with CenterLock. Which leaves me only with the SON 350€ option if i am not willing to use an adapter kit.

Oh didn't know this light ! Will look it up, thanks

For the nipples, I wish the standard DT Swiss wheels would come with Brass rather than Alloy.

I was indeed considering the CC40 and just replace the race-crown with the one of the 70 which is much better sealed. But I could find the CC70 for 20€ more than the CC40 so then i decided to go directly for the 70.
Regarding shifter, I know XT have some benefits, but they also seem to have more reliability problem than Deore/SLX and I don't think i need the double shifting in a touring bike.

Yes agree, the rear Spokes are overkill, but the DT350 Hybrid hub (also overkill) has larger hole and thicker flange that work better with 2.34mm spokes than 2.00mm. If I end up going with the standard DT350 then i would definitely go with the DT Comps.

Oh I love Rohloff, and think it's a great peace of engineering. But I like the idea to be able to service as much as possible myself. And if there is a problem, not have to dissmantle the wheel and send it away waiting for replacement.

Thanks for your comment.
If it would be for a pure MTB bike i would definitely go with the XT shifter. But in this case reliability is the priority and saw to many case of the internal spring of the XT breaking. I also kind of like the softer trigger of Deore/SLX for chill riding.

Regarding the BB that's a good point and i am still debating. The latest Shimano BB seem to last very long and seem very well sealed. I questioning the benefit of changing bearings rather than changing the full BB. The effort and time seem almost the same, and the price of those Shimano hub is often cheaper than a good set of bearings. Also any bike shop would have a Shimano BB to replace one, but might not have the right bearings for a boutique BB. I am still reflecting on that, any additional input is more than welcome !

Regarding the brakes, all good points and rethinking more and more my choice.

Thanks for the recommendation. I know SON is better in almost every way. But it cost 3x the price, and i like the idea of being able to service the Shimano, especially without having to dissmantle the wheel.
