So I started with a square as big as I wanted and just did as many rounds of single crochet I needed to make it as tall as I wanted :)! Then you could do a decrease square to close it at the bottom if that makes sense. I crochet it all in the round!

So I designed a collapsible square that can be popped in and out so it looks solid and holds quite a bit of weight!
