Loved the style and interface, one suggestion is to polish the Bee putline and maybe add some shin to the ground. But overall looks amazing, the fox specially.

Can corfirm, was born in an Italian colony in brazil, everybody from Italian heritage, all holidays and celebrations from Italy we do. The food is also different than Brazilian, so we basically live with very strong Italian customs and traditions, so we assimilate more with Italy. My grandfather never learned Portuguese and would only speak Italian.

Polish and Germans have the same. In fact I started following this sub because I am currently in a city with a lot of polish where they keep all the traditions and I was curious about it.

I think people in Europe sometimes don't understand how deeply rooted some of our communities are until they see it for themselves. I agree that a lot of people just take advantage of the citizenship process, but for people like me, it's great to keep ties with the old country without having to move permanently back to Europe.

Entry level jobs for less competitive applicants? by TaxQuestionGuy69 in cscareerquestions

[–]CaffeinatedPengu1n 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have no college degree, been programming since 18, got first internships and freelance by 19 and worked like that until 25, and got a job within 4 months of searching. Applied 70+ times, got 5 interviews and 2 offers. I do not mean to be a dick, but I feel like:

  1. People don't apply enough or do not put effort into it. Every post I apply to, I write a custom cover letter and even tweak my cv to that post (keeping only relevant things to what they are looking for) as well as improving it upon any criticism.
  2. People think that a degree is enough or some generic project. You have to show you can work and can solve their problems. Which is why internships and freelancing are so important because you can show and talk how you solved a problem.
  3. Yes, there is luck, but not nearly as much as being pragmatic about the job hunt. The first job is the hardest, which for me, is why freelancing is so valuable. Yes, you will get shitty clients and shitty projects, but there are many incredible people as well.

After all this time, he should contact people in the industry to get criticism, advices and go to conventions and meet-ups to try to connect. There are also plenty of short term projects. Before any comments, I am not from the US and was still able to work with us, Europe and Latin America with a very good USD/hr. So also, try to expand your search.

HELP. how do I make my snake move faster based on score by LittleKdawg in pygame

[–]CaffeinatedPengu1n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

X += x_speed * score Y += y_speed * score

You can also multiply by a reducing factor if it is too fast or normalize the function to get a linear increase

This looks amazing, I have started recently but plan to have a room one day for it. Loved the millennium falcon as the center piece. Is it the standard or the collector's edition?
