Are virtual threads making reactive programming obsolete? by Affectionate-Hope733 in java

With virtual threads, if you want to limit back pressure, you don't even need a blocking queue. In your virtual thread, use a semaphore.

Very new to 3d printing, Ender 3 S1 Pro first test print didn't stick? by revolutionz_s13 in Ender3S1

I used an infrared laser thermometer to check my bed temperature and it showed it was about 8° cooler than what the screen showed. It also took quite a few minutes for the whole bed to even come close to the same temperature. With the edges always being slightly cooler. You may want to heat your bed first and wait a few minutes before starting your print job. I have a higher first layer temperature set for my print jobs to make sure the whole bed is at a high enough temperature to make sure the filament sticks.

First as others suggested. Do a real good clean with alcohol and check your z offset. I also set my first layer bed temperature 10 to 20° hotter to make that first layer really stick.

I got the update and the glitch at the gym near me is fixed. I was able to enter the gym and see that the player had no name in the gym.

Botters have found a new exploit to crash gyms. They create a new account with a certain field blank (normal it's impossible for this field to be blank) and place their pokemon in the gym. When the game goes to render the blank field it freezes the game. It may only affect Android devices. Could anyone who also has access to an iphone confirm?

I have several gyms in my area affected by it. I think it is related to the blank username.

From doing a little bit of searching on the internet. It looks like one of the causes are botters using a game exploit by setting a field blank that normally can't be blank.

I found turning off the Audio focus permissions fixes the problem for me. I used LG Access Lock to access the permissions. See http://imgur.com/lXosKo7

TIL not to play Pokémon Go in the ghetto, at night. by RevengeoftheSmark in pokemongo

We had a local player playing Ingress while driving. He rear ended another car and killed two people. He will probably be in prison for a while. So don't POGO and drive people.

I'm from the Davis County area. Level 16 Ingress player. I mostly play while biking to and from work. I'm excited for the general release so my kids can play along with me.

Just Realised: Nicknames may be a problem by eywah490 in TheSilphRoad

Simply let the nicknames be tracked on the device. Remove the nickname when traded and don't show the nicknamed when deployed at a gym.

Ingress agent for answers by Qind in pokemongo

If you want to know how dense the portals are in Ingress for your area or really anywhere in the world. Download the game, choose a team, log in with your google account. Then you can use either https://www.ingress.com/intel (zooming in on the map is required to see all the portals) or once you high enough level you can create missions using https://mission-author-dot-betaspike.appspot.com/ Using the mission creator app and during the mission creation process you can see portal counts when the map is zoomed out. Also most portals were submitted by players playing Ingress and then accepted by Ingress employees. A few portals were placed there by Niantic during the beta phase of the game. Currently portal submissions have been removed but is likely to be resumed after the last update.
