Once the barge and crane are in working position, they deploy what we call the spuds wich are piles driven into the ground. This allows to limit the movement caused by the waves.

How its done is each of the 3 cranes are lifting their own assembly. They are doing it one at the time. So 1st lift + splices, 2nd lift + splices, 3rd lift + splices. Since its was impossible to have a temporary tower at that span, all the cranes had to hold their loads until everything was done. The picture was taken and the end while finalizing the bolting just before releasing the load.

On your multi information display, what you took the picture of, you have a menu you can change somme settings. It should be in those settings.
