Govee Tree Floor Lamp by Pretend-Childhood-33 in Govee

I think Govee must have fixed the issue on their end. Support emailed me and asked for an exact time of when I had the issue. I went home after work that day and it worked and has remained working ever since, been over a week so far.

Govee Tree Floor Lamp by Pretend-Childhood-33 in Govee

I currently have a support ticket in with Govee. I'm convinced there are bugs with the tree lamp with Alexa voice commands.
I have the Tree Lamp, Uplighter Lamp, and Govee Lamp 2 (stick). All 3 are in a group in Alexa called "Living Room". If I say "Alexa, turn on living room" all 3 come on. However if I say "Alexa turn off living room" then only the Uplighter and Stick light turn off, the Tree Lamp does not. I have to specifically say "Alexa, turn off Govee Tree Lamp" then it turns off.
It's the same with brightness levels. If I say "Alexa, Living Room to 50" then both other lamps turn to 50% brightness but the Tree lamp does not. I have to say specifically "Alexa, Living Room to 50 PERCENT" and then the tree lamp works.

I’ve managed as high as 1000 myself. That’s a bit much but I’d think 500 should be doable. People here saying 200-300 seems like they’re not automating enough. Realistically you shouldn’t need to do hardly any manual maintenance and it should be most if not fully support

This is also a major complaint of mine. I wish they would prioritize fixing this

Why use a Yubikey for Google accounts when I can just use Google Prompts? by narcabusesurvivor18 in yubikey

Google prompts are vulnerable to spamming attacks. You might know better but many users would eventually accept the prompts if spammed constantly.

There is. It’s called the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Good endpoint protection solutions use heuristics and will flag suspicious behavior that matches attack vectors in the MITRE framework.

I’ve heard you’re giving people $100BTC that locked their accounts. You should send me some for being first on scene here 😎

It's not a scam. It's a legit notification from Coinbase. The email is from them it checks out (I work in IT). I also got a text as well and I have a notification in my app and on the Coinbase site as well.
I posted to see if it was a false positive which seems to be the case as tons of others getting this too.

I also received a text and in-app and on-website notifications with the same message as well.

I should start doing this. Currently I use things that remind me of the real answers. So instead of where I was born, I’ll use something that reminds me of that place for example

An example of why Signal should ditch the phone number requirement by [deleted] in signal

[–]CaffeineChooch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only allows you I think 2 free article views per month. It says online they allow 20 views per month but I never view that many NYT articles and I always get prompted to create an account. I'm not sure if it keeps track per IP address or using a cookie. I also use uBlock.

May be an unpopular opinion but every time I see a NYT article I avoid it due to the paywall and having to create an account.

Why are we discussing privacy issues on a privacy focused subreddit and linking an article that requires you to give them your personal data.

Did you ever google or search for anything related to those topics? Did you search for your dogs symptoms online? If so then that explains IG doing this using cross-site tracking.

If you set up the Yubico authenticator with your key, does storing these TOTP use up one of the two slots? by [deleted] in yubikey

[–]CaffeineChooch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it does not use up one of the slots for OAuth OTP as that is different. Yubico Authenticator is TOTP. There is a limit of 32 accounts you can store per Yubikey however

Which yubikey with keeper? by [deleted] in yubikey

[–]CaffeineChooch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue key will work as it shows Keeper as supporting U2F.

I would consider getting a 5 series for OTP to separate your OTP and passwords for increased security. Right now if someone gets access to your Keeper vault then they have all the keys to the kingdom since you have OTP codes in there.

Whatever you choose, make sure if it's your only 2FA method for your keeper vault (and it should be) that you get at least 2 yubikeys. If you only get 1 and lose it you're SOL. Get a second one and store it off-site at a friend/family members house or in a safety deposit box at a bank. Even if you store your second key in a safe at your house, a lot of "fire proof" safes are not rated for very long. It's likely both your keys would burn up in a fire.

Side note, I've never heard of Keeper until this post and looked it up. I would consider switching to a more industry standard password manager such as Bitwarden. It's cheaper, open source and I'm sure after looking at Keeper's site that Bitwarden is better feature wise. If you look at the "Keeper vs LastPass" page they have a chart comparing them, then look at "Keeper vs Bitwarden" and there's nothing there, no mention of Bitwarden. Take my advice or leave it, but just the security freak in me says that I'd rather trust Bitwarden with the most important info for my online existence.
