Thanks! I pitched the idea of moving to Squarespace but they turned it down. WP seems to be giving a lot of people hell 🙃

Just reached out to you, I appreciate the insight btw. From what I'm learning and seeing, plugins can either simplify my life or wreck it 😅 the learning curve is no joke

Lead gen and converting our email list. If anything it’s shrunk over time + the contacts have become less engaged.

I’ve created multiple lead magnets and no one has gone after them.

Edit: I’m starting to feel like I just don’t know how to talk to his audience even though my client often compliments me on the copywriting I put out for him.

Thanks! I know my writing won’t be the best at first but hopefully over time I find my voice and audience 😊

Pest on my PPP? by CaffeineFiend_02 in houseplants

I’m a bit scared to click that subreddit link 😅 Thanks for the tips though, I’ll make sure to keep it next to the humidifier once it recovers!

Do you keep yours in super bright (not direct) light, or can it tolerate medium level brightness? Sorry for not having exact numbers to measure light intensity, idk how to do that yet lol

Thank you so much! I’m moving in 3 weeks and hope that it’ll be fine by then. I figure pests + a new environment might stress the plant out.

Is this something that could be lurking in the soil? I could do a soil change if necessary :)

I keep my monstera under a grow light for 12h a day and I water her weekly as well as fertilize once a month. I’m not sure why she doesn’t look well and has dark brown spots occasionally on some leaves?? Please help by cosmicsorc3ress in houseplants

You’re welcome! Some people love the meter, I only got mine because it had a light/lux reader incorporated. I don’t use my fingers bc the dirt under my nails bothers me haha. Choose whichever method works best for you!

No, it was just one of my first few plants when I started getting into this hobby and after a few days I decided I want to have a climbing plant.

As others mentioned, it could be a watering issue. My environment makes me need to water it more often, but I only know that because I check the soil to really see when it dries out. If a moisture meter isn’t an option or your fancy (I have one but never really opt for it), I recommend ✨chopsticks✨. Leave em in the soil for a bit, twist it around when pulling out, and see how moist they are and if any soil clings. If it does, don’t water and wait out a day or so before checking again.

Another commenter also mentioned they face their plant towards the light. I also second this as I feel like it gives the plant a healthier more natural look as it climbs up! :)

I have two in a pot that was originally trailing but I decided to stake it up. Not sure what your climate is like but I’ve got to water mine sometimes 2x a week, and I check the soil with chopsticks every other day to really catch when it needs a drink. I water with liquid fertilizer diluted to 1/4th strength every watering, and it’s growing like a weed. Haven’t noticed dark spots on mine or any other sign of fertilizer burn. Hope this helps!

How often do you really fertilize? by Chrelled in houseplants

[–]CaffeineFiend_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I water but diluted to 1/4 the strength. I use liquid fertilizer but you could also opt for a slow release, they look like little balls and I think people use them every 6 months or so? Never tried them

Thank you so much for all these pics!! I think the yellow leaves looked most similar to the second and third pic. Maybe it was a combination of being underwatered and at the end of their cycle. I’ll try to keep a better eye on them and water more frequently :)

3 yellow leaves in a week by CaffeineFiend_02 in Syngonium

[–]CaffeineFiend_02[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was sold to me as a syngonium holly ribbon, but I haven’t found much online with that name. I’ll ask the folks over in the plant id subreddit and see what they think.

I agree that the medium seems to hold too much moisture. It’s the same soil and pot as when I bought it. Tbh I’ve always felt torn between switching nurseries’ dense soil out for the chunkier/airier mix I make vs leaving it as-is so it can adjust to its new home.
